bigtuna 0 Posted December 17, 2003 Okay i realize I have what might be the worst franchise in FF history. But a close look at my squad shows some startling potential for 2004! QB Mike Vick. He is the best ff option for awhile RB: They look bad but i have several potential starters for next season: 1. Rudi Johnson: will be a stud in 2004 2. Thomas Jones 3. Justin Fargas 4. Trung Canidate 5. Lamont Jordan: if Cumar or Jordan are dealt 6. Willis MacGahee: If Henry is dealt 7. Stephen Jackson: Could be my #1 pick 8. Jamel White: Willie Green has to be considered a longshot to ever be the Browns back and James Jackson is a free agent. White is the best back in town. On the Horizon: Larry Johnson: Priest will be 32 yrs old in 2004 I have a slew of outstanding young WR's: Javon Walker, Ashley Lelei, Ty Calico, Bethel Johnson, Terry Glenn, David Terrell some of those guys are bound to bust out (Walker already has)

Darb33 0 Posted December 17, 2003 Ummmmm, that mess is still a year or two away. What about this squad in Lombardi: Peyton Manning (top 2 quarterback) Patrick Ramsey Drew Henson Jamal Lewis (top 10 running back) Edgerrin James (top 12 running back) Brian Westbrook (will likely be a top 15 back) Correll Buckhalter Kevin Faulk Justin Fargas (gonna take over soon) Willis McGahee (Henry is as good as gone) Travis Minor Santana Moss (#1 target for Chad) Koren Robinson (needs to get more looks is all) Jerry Rice (really the only "old" player on my team) Kevin Johnson Kelly Campbell (either of these 2 will be a stud soon) Nate Burleson Kevin Dyson This team just got beat out in the semi-finals to Joe Horn. Watch out next year baby!!
bellyache 0 Posted December 18, 2003 My team will win the Lombardi league next year: Daunte Culpepper- The best fantasy football QB Kyle Boller - Will only use him once Gus Ferotte Ahman Green -Top 5 Domanick Davis - Future Star Marcell Shipp - Future Star T.J Duckett Lamont Jordan Larry Johnson Jamel White Reggie Wayne - Gets better every year Marty Booker - Will be good again next year Ashlie Lelie Travis Taylor Dennis Northcutt Tyrone Calico Brandon Lloyd - Could be good is Owens leaves David Ackers Josh Brown Saints Defense/Special Teams Plus I have the #2 overall and #6 overall picks in the 1st round. I think you can be a big time contender if you can upgrade you WR corps and get consistent production from your #3 RB slot.
Highway Robbery 0 Posted December 18, 2003 I expect the Steamrollers to contend again next year. I will be tweaking a few things though. QB: Brad Johnson - Top 10 again with some improvement as Tampa has a better year. Kerry Collins - Will rebound with new coach at the helm in NY. Jon Kitna - I think he might keep Palmer on the bench another year if he keeps it up. Gannon - Could reemerge under Denny Green? Developmental: Wright (UFA), Feeley (RFA). RB: Ricky Williams - Top 10. Curtis Martin - Top 20. I think Jordon with be gone next year. Martin is ageless. Artose Pinner - I need him to step. Pittman - Could be out of the league next year. Talented 2nd stringers: Rhodes, Blaylock, Morris. WR: Burress - Will bounce back next year. Jimmy Smith - Ageless Coles - Will bounce back big time. I need more depth here and would like a young stud. DEF/ST: CAR, IND, TEN & NYJ - A nice blend a talent and youth.
bigtuna 0 Posted December 18, 2003 Well its obvious the Lombardi league is far superior to the Landry. I love the Shula League, but Landry is filled with non posters, and rare trading which makes for boring action. I wish i could trade into Lombardi league if it gets an opening. I will keep both teams if i can. You siad it there!! But for as much as a pain in the ass you are, you are one of the most active owners we got in Shula. By the way, in Landry, keep dreaming, your still a year or two away! Sure you have some potential, more of it it very raw and still needs a few years if it ever does develop, but you will be better. Now ,i'm off to get my damn bag of stones ready to load into my slingshot this weeked in my attempt to take down what is by far the best RB graoup I have ever seen (Holmes, LT2, and Portis), and I will try to do this with my starting RB's being Barber and CMart! wall Wish me luck! Great, I don't think we or you would want you to take one team (Lombardi) to lose another (Landry). It would be both. You would not be the only 2 team FSA owner. LOTF of course has the final say but to me an 'active owner' outweighs a 'pain in the ass' anyday!

DrJ 0 Posted December 13, 2004 Looking back for the payout stuff and came across this little tidbit. Apparantly Dillon and Toomer were here instead of L Jordan and Lelie as well? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13954 If only you had kept this club. Vick McGahee Rudi Dillon 1.01 (KJ) T Jones L Johnson J Walker Toomer That would have been pretty mean, and overall pretty danged young too. And you still had your draft picks for 05 too.
