b2b jaxx 0 Posted August 16, 2004 clarify this for me...we have these options of starters for RB, WR & TE i also wondered why the change was made for 2 wr/te positions. if anyone is planning on starting 2 te's, let's make this a money league!!!

I changed it just in case. There's a couple of TE's that will outscore some of the crapass WR's that a few of you will start.

yanko 11 Posted August 9, 2005 Starters: 1QB 2RB 2WR 1WR/TE 1WR/RB 1K 1D/ST 15 rounds That's not how it shows up in Yahoo. This is what it shows: QB RB RB W/T (flex) W/T (flex) W/T (flex) W/R (flex) K DEF Judging by the settings currently in Yahoo there is no requirement to start a WR and one could start 3RBs, 0WRs and 3TEs. Is this what we want?

That would be the jumbo offense. I don't see a negative difference made to any strategy by having the w/t flex options instead of wr, wr, w/t. Most of us go w/o a te in this league. If you want to run with Gonzo Gates and Heap, knock yourself out.

If you want to run with Gonzo Gates and Heap, knock yourself out. I'm just clarifying whether or not starting a WR is mandatory and it appears not. We're just lumping the WRs and TEs into one category. Last season we only had the option of putting one TE in. In this scenario, you can play any multiple of WRs and TEs as long as their sum equals 3. 3WR, 0TE 2WR, 1TE 1WR, 2TE 0WR, 3TE It just gives you more options to manage your team. Its open for debate, though. If the majority would rather only have the ability to start 1 TE I can change it. But its possible for a team that already has TGonz that the best possible draft option come their turn is Gates.
