PIK 95 2 Posted August 18, 2003 I'm around all day so lets get this draft back to me. Nice picks with Hines Ward and David Boston. I really hope K Rob stays as hot as he was in the second half last year or I will look like a fool for not grabbing one of those two WR's. I really wanted W Green or Garner. Diesel07 0 Posted August 18, 2003 Yah i was hoping for burress, but i'll glady take Hines anyday. Boston was a good pick. I think he will surprise a lot of people this year and put an end to all the criticism surrounding him.
friar 0 Posted August 18, 2003 So the trade comes to: Ricky Williams + Stephen Davis for Curtis Martin + Marvin Harrison + Eric Moulds + David Boston I do not know to which side it is lop-sided (if it is), but it definately turned out sexy.
Diesel07 0 Posted August 18, 2003 you got davis/R.W? and gave up your whole squad for them?
friar 0 Posted August 18, 2003 Diesel07: you got davis/R.W? and gave up your whole squad for them? I would not put it that way. On the other hand, I am that other party with the 4 picks.
Diesel07 0 Posted August 18, 2003 I know, but i thought u just said you traded them for R.W & Davis...im confused
teddyt 0 Posted August 18, 2003 I think a teams post would be a great idea. As far as my draft goes... I was really hoping that RW, LT2, CP, or PH would fall to me at 1.05, but when they didn't I had a tough choice b/w Deuce, Faulk, and Alexander. While I had Faulk rated above these 2, I wasn't sure if there would be a decent #2 back available when I picked in Rd 2, so I decided to go a bit more conservative. In Rd 2, I was targeting Moss, Lewis, or Barber, but when they were gone I was happy that William Green was still available. I'm not completely sold on him, but he is the last of the backs that I feel pretty comfortable with as a solid #2. Knowing that I got Green in Rd 2, I probably would have gone Faulk in Rd 1. Horn in Rd 3 would have been a better pick had I not already had McAllister on my roster. The WR I was really targeting was KRob, and I was pretty gutted he went that early. Actually, the trade was Ricky Williams for Harrison and Boston. Had I drawn a better pick than 1.10 I could have still made the trade and gotten better than Davis with my untraded-for pick. Diesel07 0 Posted August 18, 2003 RLLD were u going to take him w/your next pick?
Diesel07 0 Posted August 18, 2003 IMHO, if you took urlacher/lewis in the 3rd round, your offensive units are going to be lacking

After those two (and possibly Lavar, but we can't use him), I see a serious drop in potential production.

Actually, I do NOT see that. I have 2 more players close by on my board not that I am aiming them with my 5th pick. Urlacher is a durable beast. Lewis is a bigger monster, but I do not know how aggressive he will be this year.
Diesel07 0 Posted August 19, 2003 i agree w/friar. Id rather laod up on offense and grab these 2-3 defensive players that i ahve in mind. There not ALL gone, but the top 2 are.
