usurpers26 26 Posted October 22, 2005 Saw something on ESPN last night that said McCown was "expected" to start. I dont know what was said though as I happened to catch it while I was at the bar.
Skanker 0 Posted October 22, 2005 No one knows for sure, I'd guess McCown.
Sportslitter 0 Posted October 22, 2005 McCown is my best guess. But if he struggles, Warner may come in replacement style
Mental 0 Posted October 22, 2005 Pasquarelli's Tip Sheet said yesterday that the players know who the starter will be -- Green has made up his mind, but he's just keeping the media/Titans in the dark... whatever rumors are out there (an I haven't heard any except in this thread) are probably true. Ray_T 794 Posted October 22, 2005 I dunno.... for the amount of cash they're paying Warner, I'd expect there would be pressure to start him. I know what McCown has done, and I like him..... but I really think they'll probably give Warner the start.
rocket1012 0 Posted October 23, 2005 If Green is crazy enough to start Warner...he deserves to lose....
Henwah 1 Posted October 23, 2005 Last thing that I heard, McCown was all "giddy" that he had information that the reporters didn't. He was blabbing about something like feeling when he was a little kid and was left out of everything, and now he's on the inside... blah, blah, blah. Seriously, if you've ever heard him mic'ed up, he's a total retard. Frankly, he can be as retarded as he wants, as long as he keeps throwing me 300 and multiple TDs. Point is, that doesn't sound like someone who is pissed or depressed about being sent back to the bench after two big outings. I've got to decide on whether or not to start him over Kerry Collins sans Moss. Just have to wait until the last minute I guess.
GettnHuge 2 Posted October 23, 2005 yea well unfortunately my rosters are due in 25 minutes and we start two: brooks -in roethlisberger -cold, raining in cincy martin -likely a 200yd 1td performance mccown -huge IF he plays
CHASEingTAYLOR 0 Posted October 23, 2005 Mort will have the scoop around 12:30 pm EST. My guess is McCown......the guys been hot! But as mentioned before, Warner may get a look if Zona gets off to a slow start.
Henwah 1 Posted October 23, 2005 Mort will have the scoop around 12:30 pm EST. My guess is McCown......the guys been hot! But as mentioned before, Warner may get a look if Zona gets off to a slow start. Against Tenn.'s 20th rated pass D, letting up a league worst 13 TDs, I think whomever does get the start is golden with Boldin and Fitzgerald demanding coverage from a limited secondary. The starter is the finisher in this game, barring injury. I've got both, so this is truly killing me, 'cuz I would have loved to drop Warner during this week's WW. What's really killing me though is that this whole cloak and dagger thing probably won't make a difference to Tenn.'s D scheme. With no running game in 'zona, they're going to be running blitz packages regardless of which QB is in.
Vertical Smiles 0 Posted October 23, 2005 I may very well take a zero for my QB tomorrow: Brady (BYE), McNair - declared out today, and McCown. Funny thing is I dropped Volek a few weeks back to ride the McCown train. I should have known McNair wouldn't last. It'll be interesting how Volek does without Bennett in the lineup.
