texasmouth 1 Posted October 23, 2005 This has to be the low point of Oklahoma football. They need double overtime to beat friggin Baylor? Baylor? That is an embarrassment. Just pathetic...... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT!
Stifler 2 Posted October 23, 2005 I am with you...I loved every second of it!!!! The greatest part of that game was watching the Sooner fans going crazy because they pulled it out. That was friggin' classic. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Hook 'em
texasmouth 1 Posted October 23, 2005 This should be pinned as a monument to failure.....
KC_Steiner 0 Posted October 23, 2005 How embarrassing was it when they beat you 7 straight times in the Cotton Bowl?
ThatDude 12 Posted October 23, 2005 How embarrassing was it when they beat you 7 straight times in the Cotton Bowl? Texas wins: 56 OU wins: 39 Ties: 5 Longest winning streak: Texas won 8 in a row twice. That should settle the question of dominance.
dingleberries_taste_good...mmm 0 Posted October 23, 2005 you know its funny everyone was saying Tech was the Horns toughest game left... maybe its Baylor? They have now taken OU and the Aggies to overtime. mmmm.....nevermind: Tex 45 Baylor
Ilov80s 0 Posted October 23, 2005 Texas' schedule is tougher then a two year olds pillowcase...
Grind 0 Posted October 23, 2005 Typical Stoops coached team. His teams quit during games when things don't go well early (reference last two National Championship games) and apparantly they quit on seasons when things don't go well early. Stoops is at his best when his team is up 70 points and he has to make a decision to pass deep late in the fourth quarter or to run the ball. Of course, he throws deep. Fumbleweed 516 Posted October 23, 2005 Baylor's actually pretty good this year. Now, if Oklahoma State were to take OU to overtime, that would be pathetic.
MahSoonerz 0 Posted October 23, 2005 I will remind y'all of this hater junk next year, when we start another five year run on you whorns. Hey, we won. Get back to me with your fantasy hate when we actually lose to a team not in the top 25. Or when Mack Brown actually wins you guys a championship. I survived the Schnellenberger year. So while it's definitely a bad year this year, I've seen lots worse. One last note, I find the references to overall series record pretty pathetic, considering that none of y'all are probably old enough to remember the last time Texas won 5 in a row. MahSoonerz 0 Posted October 23, 2005 Baylor's actually pretty good this year. Now, if Oklahoma State were to take OU to overtime, that would be pathetic. Hey, it's Bedlam, doncha know. No other rivarly in college FB where the teams' records are more irrelevant than OU-OSU. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to lose that game. Not that we intend to. I do expect we'll win out. With an 8-3 record, a win over TT and our three losses coming to top 25 teams with a combined record so far of 21-1, that should get us in a good bowl game. I know, I know, most teams would be thrilled with such a record while we are just making do. I'm thinking we beat LSU in the Cotton Bowl.

If you barely beat Baylor in double overtime, you aren't going to beat Texas Tech. JMHO.
ThatDude 12 Posted October 23, 2005 Tech will beat OU by 21 points.
MahSoonerz 0 Posted October 23, 2005 You forget that Mike Leach is a former OU assistant. I think Coach Stoops will have something special up his sleeve for TT.
ThatDude 12 Posted October 23, 2005 Im a huge Texas fan so this is probably going to sound odd coming from me. Stoops is one of the better college coaches if not the best in my opinion. Mac Brown will never out coach Stoops if the game comes down to it. Texas talent overpowered OU this year and may continue for a couple of years. Given that, OU players are what they are this year and Stoops can only do so much with mediocre talent.
phillybear 366 Posted October 23, 2005 Baylor is actually underrated this year. The final score was absolutely no surprise. Heck, I bet on Baylor.
