waterwolves 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Even if he isn't he has to be after they play the steelers! I am picking up c. taylor this week after my trade goes through. He is this year's Julius Jones. IMO That is a guess but it is either Taylor of JJ Airrington.

Leonard Henry -2 Yds 0 Posted October 27, 2005 you're picking up Leonard Henry? I already drafted him, in the 5th round.
Madden2005 0 Posted October 27, 2005 trying to shop him for the last two weeks, no takers. Not even for an average tight-end. He's lost all his value in FF and he'll soon lose his job. Thanks, J.L. you killed me this year
philssteelers200 0 Posted October 27, 2005 I was able to trade him, with Antonio Bryant, for Stephen Jackson Just realized tonight, though, that three of my four running backs are on buys next week, McGahee, Jackson and M. Anderson. All I have left is C. Perry. Thankfully, it's a PPR league. May pick up Taylor for one week.

E Money 0 Posted October 27, 2005 He's not benched yet unfortunately and will not be anytime soon. Stubborn Billick will play him regardless. Chester is clearly the better RB right now, but it will not happen anytime soon and this is coming from a die hard Raven fan. Our offensive line is horrible as well. BumpMan 0 Posted October 27, 2005 "8. Note to Brian Billick: Plea-bargaining and snitching your way out of a major criminal case is good for football. Sitting in prison for four months during the offseason is bad for football. Have we cleared that up? There's a big difference between Ray Lewis and Jamal Lewis. Ray was scared straight. Jamal is just plain scared. Hitting the hole loses its appeal when you've spent much of the offseason in lockdown with Avon, Wee-Bey, Shamrock and Bird. Billick needs to put Jamal on the bench and play Chester Taylor. I've seen less tiptoeing at a ballet than what Jamal is doing on a week-to-week basis for the Ravens. Given Baltimore's quarterback situation, the Ravens can't afford to allow Jamal to conquer his fears on the field." http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...whitlock/051027
RamsFan28 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Yeah I'm sitting his ass this week, if i didnt have Curtis Martin on bye it would be a no brainer, i picked up Bettis to start in place of him. Jamal's lost so much fantasy value that you cant even give him away at this point. Thanks a lot Jamal for a wasted draft pick on your sorry ass.

omarkal 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Freaking hate J Lew, he is killing me this year. Should have traded his ass three weeks ago, now no one will take him. What i just cant freaking understand, for someone who is looking for a contract next year, he is playing like he wants to back to the big house. I mean, look what porter did last year with the raiders, turned his game around. I stuck porter till the end, and thank god i did, cuz he got me some serious points end of the season and in the playoffs.

BumpMan 0 Posted October 28, 2005 hmmmm . . . . Ravens notebook: Taylor could get more time By Aaron Wilson Staff Writer Date: Oct 27, 2005 OWINGS MILLS -- For the first time this season, Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick didn’t dismiss the notion of increasing backup running back Chester Taylor’s workload. Billick has bristled previously when asked whether Taylor should carry the football more in light of starter Jamal Lewis’ struggles. Heading into Monday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lewis has rushed for only 326 yards on 113 carries, a 2.9 average. “We’re going to do everything we have to do to run the ball well,” Billick said. “Jamal has run well against the guys before with that physical style of running, although Chester has run the ball as well. We’re going to use any combination we have to get the job done.” Despite 76 less carries, Taylor has 223 yards and has more than doubled Lewis’ rushing average with 6.0 per carry. In a conference call with Pittsburgh reporters, Billick said: "Jamal has got to get on track and run a little bit more physical and get back to the style of running that he is used to. I think he's ready to do that." Lewis pointed out that he has taken himself out of games in the past to get Taylor more snaps in the past and make the offense less predictable. When asked if Taylor will carry the ball more, Billick quipped: “Hell, I’ll go in and carry the ball if I thought it would be make a difference. We have a great deal of faith in our two backs.” http://ravens.scout.com/2/458548.html
gpann101 32 Posted October 28, 2005 Sounds like the coach has a bond with a back that may cost him his job.
munghead 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Jamal Lewis (RB) Bal Jamal Lewis (RB) Bal admitted Thursday that he is feeling burdened by his pending free agency, according to the Baltimore Sun. He even acknowledged his concern about getting seriously injured. "I'm not the type that's going to lay down. At the same time, it's going to be in the back of your mind," Lewis said. "You want to go out and you want to play hard. [but] you want to be careful for your own health because this is the last year on my deal." Lewis has averaged just 2.9 YPC this year. Might be Taylor time... link: http://rototimes.com/index.php?sport=pftba...ype=playernotes
RLLD 4,237 Posted October 28, 2005 Sounds as though it is Taylor time all around. Most players go apesnot in a contract year, but he is afraid of getting hurt, and as such wont be playing very well...
Joe_Hogeboom 0 Posted October 28, 2005 There's no way Jamal Lewis will get benched this year, unless he gets injured.

Good deal. 3rd-tier WRs are a dime a dozen. But there are only about 6-7 backup RBs worth owning.
Wuerffel for MVP 0 Posted October 28, 2005 In the Big Daddy's League (dynasty w/ppr in 3rd year on these boards) I traded Jamal and Chester and Javon Walker for Brian Westbrook and Keyshawn Johnson. It probably hurts me for next year but I doubt it will be that bad. Check out my roster: QB: Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, Kyle Boller, Andrew Walter RB: Edgerrin James, Domanick Davis, Brian Westbrook, Carnell Williams, Vernand Morency WR: Terrell Owens, Larry Fitzgerald, Nate Burleson, Keyshawn Johnson, Antwaan Randle El, Reche Caldwell, Vincent Jackson, Az-Zahir Hakim, Robert Ferguson TE: Jeremy Shockey, Alge Crumpler K: Adam Vinatieri, Josh Brown D/ST: Indianapolis, Chicago
