Rusty Shackelford 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Zygi Wilf will hire him because (a) the Vikings and Rams are similar in that they are Dome-Speed-Offense teams and ( the only thing better than experience is recent NFC experience and © he may not be a great Head Coach, but he is a proven commodity as an offensive coach. The problem on offense for the Vikes is not talent. They have no "identity" or definable system on offense. They have excellent talent on D too, but with time together they should get it together. I'm not crazy about Martz, but he would be a sound choice. // We do all agree Martz is done in StL and Tice in Min, don't we? Of course we do. A round of applause to me! Vikings4ever 550 Posted October 28, 2005 http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...dpost&p=2047436 Wouldn't be suprised if Martz isn't back next year. Feel bad for the man though. Anyone smell Martz and the Vikings to be a match made in 2006? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...dpost&p=2056777 looks like Minny found their coach for next year. I'd love him as an offensive coordinator, but as a head coach, he's not much better than Tice.

Guest Black Label Society Posted October 28, 2005 Ditto Vikes4Ever. I'd love him for an O coordinator, but not a head coach. If we could shore up our O line, get a Dungy-disciple at D Coordinator, and Martz to run the offense, Cpep would put up SICK numbers.
texasmouth 1 Posted October 28, 2005 I could see Martz in Minny. He needs a fresh start and the Vikes need a coach. Martz may have learned from his mistakes. Minny doesn't have a running back anyway so it is perfect. Maybe he can bring Faulk with him.
Vikings4ever 550 Posted October 28, 2005 Minny doesn't have a running back anyway so it is perfect. Well, there is that one guy who's gone over 100 total yards in all but 1 of his starts.

Well, there is that one guy who's gone over 100 total yards in all but 1 of his starts. yeah, and that was because he got hurt and had 8 carries. is it just me, or is the entire fantasy world sleeping on a really solid RB2 right now, with poential to be RB1 if he ever finds the endzone? He will score touchdowns if they ever get in gear. Quietly I believe he is one of the best in the league at getting yardage after contact. I don't think I am wrong with that. norseman 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Martz, Fassel, Tice... Ay yi yi. When the rumored coaches are no better than the existing one, times are tough. (I'm surprised no one has mentioned Brian Billick yet.) Why couldn't Wilf be old buddies with Jimmy Johnson?

Perennial Contender 18 Posted October 28, 2005 No way. Vikes will hire an OC or DC from a team who has had recent success. You heard it here first

Rock Gossard 0 Posted October 28, 2005 is it just me, or is the entire fantasy world sleeping on a really solid RB2 right now, with poential to be RB1 if he ever finds the endzone? I agree with your statement as I just traded for him in a Dynasty League. My greatest concern is him staying healthy, I think the TDs will come. Hopefully the new coach next year will have a clue to what kind of RB MeMo is and give him plenty of playing time.
