Kind of ironic: Need some compooter assistance

Okay. I bought a new laptop from Dell.com last night.

 

I have to get NUMEROUS files from my current laptop to the new one. Files include the following; word docs, excel docs, pdf's, pictures, URLs, etc etc etc.

 

What's the easiest way to get them off of here?

 

This laptop has a floppy drive. No CD burner. Do I email them to myself to download later?

 

I have to have this laptop totally CLEAN (including re-formatting HD and re-installing some software) by this weekend, so I was planning on moving this crap today. New laptop won't be here for a week or so...(so, yes, you guys will be without me for a bit).

If both machines have ethernet, the best way would be to connect them using an ethernet cross-over cable.

 

This may involve doing a little network setup so that the machines can see each other and have file access.

Just make sure not to get pissed and throw your keys at the wall, with said flash memory attached. it will delete everything you put on the stick to save.
