You get a free game too Aside from the Core syste,, which you don't want, these are good deals. The 399 package with a free game is good (save $60) The 499 package is good if you get a "free game of your choice" as well as PGR3. Can't tell for sure if this is the case in the ad. If not, the package doesn't really save you anything since you can get PGR3 for about $30 these days. Overall, the 399 package looks best, with the 499 package having no real advantage. UncleHulka 0 Posted November 26, 2006 I was in Circuit City today and saw that the hd dvd add-on drive for the 360 is out and selling for 200 bucks. A couple of questions: In the war of formats, how do hd dvd and blu ray compare? Numbers of movies out for each, cost per each, chances of obselescence, etc... And are there any reviews out there regarding the quality of this player vs. a stand-alone hd dvd or blu ray player? What about the supposed quality of ps3's blu ray drive? Electric Mayhem 35 Posted January 10, 2007 I got Zelda - It's really good so far but I've only played a little. I bought the 360 (couldn't pass up the $100 gift card) and GoW and hooked it up a couple weeks ago when I brought my Cube to VT to have over X-Mas with friends. Now I'm hooked on GoW and it probably will be a while before I get the Cube hooked up again. GoW is really amazing, as well as the general X-Box Live experience so far.. I've been playing the campaign on single player (hardcore level) and it's challenging. i'm on the part with the first Theron guards and they are being a major pain in my ass. I keep getting *thwack*ed with explosive arrows and exploding. I did my first ever online game with a friend of mine as well! That was cool as sh1t!! It's great to be able to talk to the other guy while playing on your full screen. Really, really fun. I'm veru glad I got it. BTW - my XBox Live Gamertag thingy is "Boomst1ck" (yes, as in "THIS... IS MY") in case anyone wants to add me. I got the Gold Live pass whatchamacallit too, so I downloaded a bunch of demos that I haven't even had a chance to look at yet.
