redtodd 7 Posted April 30, 2006 But at least he got laid a lot and learned how to ballroom dance. All NFL players get laid a lot. Only the sissies do the ballroom dancing. I think he is going to a good situation. Despite their history, Arizona is an up and coming team. He will have two excellent young WR's to throw to. James may not be what he once was by the time Leinart is the starter, so they will eventually need to get a young RB (if J.J. Arrington can't develop). The huge thing for him is that he can sit and learn, which I think is key for a lot of QB's. But then again, I always thought he was over-rated at USC. Giants Fan 85 Posted April 30, 2006 Arizona was supposed to be an up an coming team last year, and there was/is potential for a defense there. As impressive as Boldin was as a rookie, everyone was looking to Fitz to step up, but Boldin didn't seem to miss a step, and has worked into any offense available. Regardless of the rest of the team, Boldin, when healthy has out-performed. So ... what's Denny Green gonna have? A good excuse to go 8-8 and still keep his job. Zona has no D. Washington proved, you can spend a fortune in the NFL, and still lose. Tellin' yah right now ... Giants win the NFC East again this year. Oh yeah ... we don't play Zona twice a year anymore! Too bad, because our pass rush, would eat them alive. Boldin ... schmoldin ... when you got Micahel Strahan in the QB's face every play. The Cards got a new stadium, and they never even sold out Sun Devil most Suday's ... but offense sells tickets. Defense may win championships ... but offense sells tickets. To the farther away stadium. Maybe not. 8-8 ... if all goes well.
Flipper 60 Posted April 30, 2006 Watch you media! I like what the ESPN guys said this morning. To paraphrase ... "He (Leinart) is going to a better situation in Arizona than he would have in Tennessee. He'll have Fitzgerald an Boldin to thow to, James to hand-off to and a decent offensive coach in Green." Tennessee is a mess ... and off my list of favorites if they snap-it-off in McNair.
doughboys_2002 11 Posted April 30, 2006 Do you know how many winning seasons they have since they left Saint Louis? They went 9-7 ..... once. It doesn't matter how many winning seasons they have HAD! Matt is stepping into a dream situation, two top tier WR, a top tier RB and a young up and coming D. Warner will take the lumps this year while they improve the O-line this year and through the draft next year, then Matt steps in. I don't see that as a horrible situation! Giants Fan 85 Posted April 30, 2006 I'd rather have Vince Young .... but remember that song from the 80's ... "Only Time Will Tell" ... by Asia? I see it now Becomes so clear Your insincerity And me all starrey-eyed To think that I would have know by now Now, sure as the sun will cross the sky This lie is over Lost, like the tears that used to tide me over {only time will tell} One thing is sure That time will tell {only time will tell} If you were wrong The brightest ring around the moon Will darken when I die Yeah? Remember it? Well they were a buncha fhags.

Flipper 60 Posted April 30, 2006 Yes, I remember that song - all too well. That means I'm old ... and I have ample wisdom (maybe) ... I think Vince will have mega-trouble reading defenses and have happy-feet that will have his coaches and receivers fuming in short time. They'd better have a damn good offensive line or else they will have wasted a top draft pick. No fear, they'll draft high again next year.
