pook187 0 Posted May 2, 2006 hello, sims haters...? I hope the Dolphins are as fortunate with their talented safety with a questionable injury history, also taken in the 16 hole.

t.j 35 Posted May 2, 2006 You too. Ernie's a beast. Ernie's a Marinelli kinda guy, no doubt about that.
swamp dog 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Ernie's a Marinelli kinda guy, no doubt about that. apparently he was kicked out the soccer league and the local basketball league in junior high school for "playing too rough" he said at his presser yesterday that he tries to "take someone out" every game he plays ...that's kinda psycho...but i kinda like it. swamp dog 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Yeah but Troy grew his hair bigger. more padding...you might be on to something there.
Sweetness_34 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Also, Troy's concussions had more to do with being Carson Palmer's beotch in practice every day
Grind 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Is that kind of like the Lions taking a risk on Charlie Rogers after he failed a drug test at the combine? Oops...
Riddlen 1 Posted May 2, 2006 Is that kind of like the Lions taking a risk on Charlie Rogers after he failed a drug test at the combine? Oops... this one is totally different. Sims is a LINEBACKER. Duh.
swamp dog 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Is that kind of like the Lions taking a risk on Charlie Rogers after he failed a drug test at the combine? Oops... yeah, let's see the mirror similarities: taking a risk on a player who plays hard every down and hits like a freight train...or a guy that likes weed. yeah, i can't tell the difference
Grind 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Maybe it is more like taking a risk on Boss Bailey with his knee condition(s). Oops…

Mack 1 6 Posted May 2, 2006 You crack me up, Swamp dude. So now you want to compare the talent evaluation of the Steelers with the Lions to prove a point? Sure there maybe similarities between Polamalu and Ernie Sims, but come on. The Lions' history has proven than nine times out of 10 they make the wrong decision, and this Ernie Sims pick may be no different.

DrJ 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Perhaps they should have taken another page out of the Steelers' book and not passed on a franchise QB when he was available. Had Pittsburgh taken Vilma, or some other defensive player, they likely wouldn't have been in the Superbowl.
Trainer1 0 Posted May 2, 2006 I've been searching like crazy trying to find a link to Sims' concussion history, and what teams reports, scouts, and doctors think. How many concussions did he have, how many games has he missed because of the concussions? How far apart did he have the concussions, and when was the last time he had one? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

That's true - no matter what the Lions did, it was wrong. I think history will back this one up. Had they taken Leinart, he'd be Joey II. Now that they passed on him, he's going to be a pro bowler. Cdub100 3,909 Posted May 2, 2006 This is Joey's year. 3800 yards 34 TD's 12 int's all for the Lions
