that's impressive. Rarely do you see a hit where it looks like the hitter doesn't stand his ground at least a little bit.

Dwayne Slay's a beast. I think most people expected him to be drafted in the 4-6 round a few months ago. His combine 40 was slow and that is the reason some are saying he fell to being undrafted, but I have to think there's more to it than that. I've watched his games and he's better than undrafted talent. I'll be keeping an eye on him. As with many of these guys, he'll have to make his mark on ST and wait for someone to go down.

i have seen a few TT games and he was a very heavy hitter thats for sure

he also seemed to be everywhere on the field for that D, curious as to why he wasnt drafted but im sure Lovie is going to have fun with him and i doubt in a few years he will be on the bench

he ran a 4.85 40 at the combine, who wants a safety that is so slow? the scouts might not beleive that he could put on weight and maintain that 4.8??

that hit was nasty...yea well if u want to see better hits u should look at all the highlights of greg blue from georgia...the guys a beast, if only he could cover.

Doesn't every safety have a hit like that in their highlight real? I bet you could also find the reasons texas and Oklahoma scored a bizzilion points against this safety also. I'm sure 32 teams worth of pro scouts found some glaring faults for him not to get picked!

I agree he probably cannot cover and hence gets burnt in coverage quite a bit. And I also agree every safety has some highlight reel hit. But NO safety has ever had a hit like this one.

 

I wonder if there is any way to bulk him up and make him play LB for the Bears. If he can maintain his speed by bulking up, he could be a bad ass LB for the Bears (Butkus => Singletary => Urlacher => Dewayne Slay )
