jocstrap 8 Posted October 24, 2006 Alright - Tuesday after my 2nd defeat in a row. I already studied this weekends film. The team looks pretty flucking solid except for that goosegg Galloway threw out there this weekend . It's time to get back on track boys. We will have a good practice today and mentally be prepared for the Sunday matchup!

Steel City Blues 0 Posted October 28, 2006 SCB is back in black. Halloweekends last weekend @ Cedar Point. Don't miss Top Thrill Dragster if you ever get the chance. $ leagues 4-3 (team isn't up to snuff) & 5-2 (#1 in scoring & deep roster)
Grateful Parrot 0 Posted October 28, 2006 I'm always here. Too damn much, if you ask me. But hey, I'm enjoying my 5-2 record against the best of the FFToday crowd. Ouch!!! my freaking arm hurts from patting me on the back. I need some help from you guys in my money league. I'm 5-2 in my league right now with a tough match up this week. I need to pick 3 WR's and keep flip flopping all over the place. I just can't seem to make a decision. Please help if you can. Leave a link and I will try to help with your problem as well, but I'm probably not the best to do that, but any little help works right? Santana Moss - Bye Marques Colston - against Baltimore Joe Horn - against Baltimore Greg Jennings - against Arizona (questionable-game time decision) Nate Washington - against Oakland Chad Jackson - against Minnisota on MNF My penciled in WR's are Colston, Washington, Jackson Jackson is my must start because I think the rookie will do ok on a Monday night, and Brady seems to look his way alot. I have Colston in there, because I feel Bal's D will double up on Horn, leaving Colston a little bit open. Washington is where my real problem lies. He splits time as a number 2 reciever with Santonio Moss and Cedric Wilson, but Ben seems to target Washington the most. Last week I started both Horn and Colston and it worked out for me, but their oposing defense wasn't Baltimore, so I just don't know it's that a good play. Help. Thanks. Steel City Blues 0 Posted October 28, 2006 I wouldn't mind rolling the dice with Nate. He has a better chance of having a "boom" type day than Horn. For my 3rd WR, I usually go for the big game potential opposed to the 4 to 8 point possession guy. Despite the fact that the Raiders D has been very stingy with FF points scored against them, the Steelers are digging into that determined to win mode. No team will be taken lightly and Pgh wants to make a statement to show they are still an elite team. Beating Oakland by 7 or less won't scratch the surface. Look for Pgh to go in with the mind set to dominate on offense and D. Special teams are riding the short bus this year. Note: see my post on the yahoo website about Santonio Holmes. My toughest lineup decision is between Addai & Thomas Jones. Going with TJ because Denver is at home and I did an Internet search on "STOUT" and found a picture of the Denver D on a Guinness label. Rye & Leaf 0 Posted December 8, 2006 Lost every game last week, except for one that was on a bye week, as the play-offs have already begun. One team bumped out of playoff contention. The truth hurts. 6-7, 10-2, 9-4, 9-4, 8-5 Here is where I was gonna tell scooter that his team will see no play-offs, but after tonight, he has a fighting chance. Screw it. NO PLAY-OFFS FOR YOU, FOCKER!

NO PLAY-OFFS FOR YOU, FOCKER! Now you fockers know why I wouldn't trade Clash fast willie "for all the tea in china" Hell, I wrote off this focking season when I lost Portis the FIRST TIME back in the preseason. When I lost him again it was a 2nd kick in the nutsack. Fortunately Lundy has been servicable, if not spectacular, DeAnkelo has been breaking out, and FWP is terrific. Ocho Cinco is coming along nicely and Andre Johnson was one of the steals of this league. My QB situation is the sux, but if I get past this week against GB (which should be a nice game for Smith) I will have a healthy Trent Green. Sh!t, had I played TG last week I'd have 3 more TDs to my point total. Honestly I'd forgotten I had him it'd been so long. My 3rd WR and FWP sure gave me a nice leg up. But this is all for fun anyway, and I'm having a lot of it. This turned out to be a great and entertaining league and I'll repeat myself and say that I really hope every one of us will be back for more next year. Nice early draft, and lots of great football talk. Of course it'd be better if one guy wasn't riding my arse on the mange forum constantly about picks I made in focking May-June, so maybe we can impliment a "what's said on the JPWADP league forum stays on the JPWADP league forum" rule next year. See y'all in the playoffs - I love my chances.
Steel City Blues 0 Posted December 10, 2006 I was going to see how our preseason predictions held up, but it looks like some of our threads have disapeared. I believe the menace was a heavy favorite early on with Yippie & GP getting dumped on early and often justified by their season point totals. Joc was brow beaten but his team was still generally respected (other than his WRs). Without the original posts, I'll take some solace by winning the first JP championship. Yippie Skippy 0 Posted December 13, 2006 So when is draft day?? After being the league kick dog for a year, I'd like another shot. I credit our early draft to my being in the quarter finals in both of my $ leagues. It was a great warm up, and I'd like to do it again.

I credit our early draft to my being in the quarter finals in both of my $ leagues. It was a great warm up, and I'd like to do it again. I too thought it was an excellent warm-up. The harassment of each pick really made it a thought-provoking exercise. I learned about some players I was on the fence about, and the more insight the better. And you can all lick my yambag about Chester Taylor. I'm moderately surprised that this wasn't called the "Chester Taylor isn't a 2nd rounder" league. lol
jocstrap 8 Posted December 14, 2006 Mock draft anyone ? Most definitely had me prepared this past season on where guys are most likely to fall. It's always a crapshoot on what they will actually do and who gets hurt though. What dumbass in this league was so sure DeshaunIdidn'tdoshitfoster was going to have a huge year? Chester Taylor was a nice call scooter. I ended up 7-6 in my big money league. 4 teams went 7-6 and 3 of those made it to the playoffs (6 teams). Yours truly had the lowest point total therefore I've been watching stress free football the last 10 days. I'll be curious to see who drafts adrian peterson - any guesses out there? Steel City Blues 0 Posted December 14, 2006 I'll be curious to see who drafts adrian peterson - any guesses out there? Maybe the Titans will draft him. They need more clutter in their backfield. Howie will draft him in the 2nd round in the JP league.
jocstrap 8 Posted December 15, 2006 I still haven't figured out how to take part of a quote from a sentence and reply. For instance, I happen to be the most knowing of all fantasy football participants. I just don't win every game! How do I quote " most knowing"? Help the computer not so literate Jocstrap please
Steel City Blues 0 Posted December 15, 2006 Who dat misquoting me? For instance, I happen to be the most belittled of all fantasy football participants. I just don't win every game! Fixored. I hate to spill the truth, but you've been a great sport all season. 1. Click on the "Reply" button in the bottom right below the post you want to quote. All of the text will appear in the quote for now. 2. Highlight everything you don't want in the quote & delete it. Leave the very beginning in the brackets...example below. Also leave the backslash + qutoe in brackets at the end of the text. 3. Type in your reply either before or after the quote brackets.
