Rye & Leaf 0 Posted July 15, 2006 Once this draft is finished, what are the rules for adding/dropping a player? And what date will teams be allowed to add free agents? If we don't have a date, I would suggest that it open the first day of training camp, July 28th, (I think).

football_scooter 0 Posted July 15, 2006 I propose a rule for future seasons....I'll call it the "sooners rule" - where everyone needs to quit the league once during the draft. Storm off in a huff, quit to avoid flaming, quit for personal reasons, quit for whatever you want...so long as every person here quits at least once.

If we don't have a date, I would suggest that it open the first day of training camp, July 28th, (I think). I thought that the waiver wire was closed until after week one, and that is why we drafted 20 rounds. It certainly would promote more trading and league interaction. I never knew that WW's existed during the preseason, and it would make this draft less meaningful. Either Solo's gavel needs to fall, or we should vote on this. jocstrap 8 Posted July 15, 2006 I quit - my wr's suck, no one likes my running backs, My qb's are too old, and the only thing I have going is a kicker and def with my 18th and 19th round picks. waiver wire open only after week one is complete is my vote. SoloMatisse 0 Posted July 15, 2006 Grateful..........Dallas' D was a tremendous pick. Rock solid. And who's the no name Indy RB thats about to come out of nowhere and take on the world??? Nice pick, Yip. Damn, I cant believe there's a player in the NFL whose name Ive never heard of...............great finish!!!! Hey guys so you know, on the waiver wire/FA question....once we establish our teams, you can add/drop at will up until gametime Sunday week 1. So if someone is hot, and you see him on Friday night for example in a preseason game, go on at that very moment and pick him up. its a complete waiver wire free for all until wk 1. alright, Ive read the previous posts to follow up on this. My statement above reflects how FA is set up right now. If you guys think otherwise, and want to freeze rosters until after week 1 , we'll go with the majority in either direction. Yippie Skippy 0 Posted July 15, 2006 Cast your votes fellas ASAP. After a 20 round draft, the WW seems a bit girlie to me but I will go with the majority. It's two to two so far with Joc and I voting to freeze, and Rye/leaf and Solo voting against the freeze. Personally, I prefer to encourage and promote trading and interaction between league members, but if most of you don't have faith in the team that you drafted then vote against the WW freeze. Just please vote either way.
jocstrap 8 Posted July 15, 2006 I vote that whoever just drafted that indianapolis rb that I too have never heard of gets a ???? beside that pick . I like going 20 rounds deep!

SoloMatisse 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Scoot- about the Drew pick......thats just who he said he wanted if he was available. He was leaning toward another D, and then at the last second with the rookie instead. But at this point, imo, one pick is about as good as another. Im sure he didnt think too much about the rankings. jocstrap 8 Posted July 19, 2006 I am anxiously awaiting the Jocstrap report! OK OK i'm back in action - two sick kids, vomit all night long for 3 nights, guests in town, then some freakin' how I got sick yesterday . Ugh! Bad email today at work . Forget the kids, guests, and work, I'm coming back to my true love. Here is what I'm going to do - I'm going to take my FF magazine, take everyone's: top 2 qb's top 4 rb's top 5 wr's #1 te #1 def #1 kicker put the magazine's ranking beside each player, add up the grand total, and figure out who has the lowest total meaning you have the top ranked guys. I have no idea how it is going to turn out, but damn it's july 18th and it sure seems fun to me. Example LJ #1, Foster 20 something, Taylor 20 something, Jacobs way up there for running backs = 67! It won't be tonight, but I'll hop right on it tomorrow. Sorry I've been out of sight for a couple of days, but Jocstrap is back!
