DBZFan2K 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Knew Freddy Kreuger would lose it for us, that POS. Just thought he'd give up a double instead of a grand slam. This is typically the kind of game the Red Sox lose on the road anyway. They are bad in extra inning games on the road.

They have no value to this team. I would rather have a guy like Hansen instead of either of those guys. If I am going to take a loss (Tavarez and Seanez fit that bill), then I would rather have young guys taking those losses. Better to have young guys getting experience than dealing with these journeyman chumps who lose day-in and day-out.

So here's how it should go: Rotation Schilling Beckett Wakefield Clement Lester Bullpen Papelbon Timlin Hansen Foulke (stuck with him) Delcarmen Riske Van Buren In reality, a lot of the youngsters will be kept in the minors for grooming (which is unfortunate since they can mostly contribute to the ML team right away IMO). There isn't a lefty in the pen and that is a problem.

They would both refuse demotion to AAA, and it's doubtful anyone would take them in a trade. Or if someone could be convinced to actually give up talent for them, they'd require that the Sox pay Seanez' and Tavarez' salaries. Taken together, they're owed $5.35 million this year ( ). You can't just cut them and take that kind of a $$ hit. Or, I guess you could, but the Sox won't. I think about all you can do is give the high-leverage innings to Timlin, who you pray stays healthy, and Hansen, who you pray can handle the pressure. Theo Epstein aka curse buster 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Couple nice signings theo. Maybe we can extend Foulke for a couple more years, he's doing one hell of a job too. Keith Foulke 2004 Playoffs and World Series - 0.64 ERA. Boston Red Sox World Champions. BTW I ran into the Duke at the end of last season and he gave me some advice: Don't pursue Clemens, He was washed up in 1996.

Did you thank him for being responsible for 50% of the team that won the world series. Did you also thank him for 75% of the starting playoff rotation which enabled the Sox to win the world series? Pedro Schilling Lowe Wakefield Owned? Oh yes. 2004-05 Seanez: 106 IP, 2.97 ERA 2004-05 Tavarez: 130 IP, 2.91 ERA Fine signings if you ask me. They're just not getting it done. ETA: Foulke is hurt. Did you also thank him for 75% of the starting playoff rotation which enabled the Sox to win the world series? No, i thanked the Duke for leaving the farm system in shambles. With great effort we have rebuilt it. For the championship i thanked a few of my aquisitions: Big Papi - For his unbelievable clutch hitting and leadership Curt Schilling - For his inspirational couragous effort Dave Roberts - For his great steal of second Bill Mueller - For his clutch hit off of Mariano Cabrera - For actually staying healthy at short Foulke and Timlin - For closing the door on any late inning rallys Francona - For not being Grady Little (Duke's boy) Kevin Millar - for keeping the clubhouse loose

Theo Epstein aka curse buster 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Which would have done nothing without Pedro, Manny and Lowe. Thanks for calling. Thats why I kept those guys and got rid of the Duke's cancerous players. Wonder why The Duke was not hired by any other teams when he got canned? I know the teams were lining up at my door when I took my little hiatis from the sox this past winter. Bottom line: I have a ring. Duke has a boys and girls camp. Me: Duke: Duke's lover EDJR: Whats it feel like to be completely owned??!!!!

Theo Epstein aka curse buster 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Unlike the Duke, who was working under a lame duck owner, i have to work under a budget. I can't afford to invest money in a drunk and an injury prone pitcher.

Theo Epstein aka curse buster 0 Posted June 14, 2006 it was ok to spend that 27 milliong for Clement? you focking fraud. Good job trading for Crisp and not keeping Damon too. GENIUS!! Damon's salary 2006: 13 million Crisp's salary: 2.75 million Martinez makes 5 million more per year than Clement and Lowe Clement was basically signed using money that would be spent for Lowe. Lowe's record last year and a half with Dodger's: 17-18 Clement's record last year and a half with Sox: 18-10 Clement would have won more if not for a freak line drive off the head. Lowe has more talent than Clement but he is a stupid drunk. Having fun being owned!!!! This is more fun than beating the Yankees!!!

Great signing on Rentawreck too. Isn't it fun paying 1/2 a guys salary to play for another team? Nice job theo
