TAS 2 Posted July 7, 2006 What's so confusing? Steak is a type of meat. It's actually cut off of a dead cow's body believe it or not. Not confused, just never saw it put in those terms before. Thanks for the info too! Always wondered were those steaks came from!

texasmouth 1 Posted July 7, 2006 This was a really helpful thread. We now know that steak is a type of meat. It comes from cows. Phillybear needs some anger counseling. (I think that has been obvious for a while)

D'ohmer Simpson 0 Posted July 7, 2006 So did you cook your steaks for 30 minutes and burn the fock out of them...Update? Heck no, and they were actually about medium. And they were focking GREAT! I did the searing thing, placed the steaks on a 45-degree angle for probably 4 min, flipped them and did the other side also for about 4 min, then even flipped them again (I forgot to do the criss-cross marks). I left them on the bottom grill (never did move them up) and just let them sit. The only reason they might have come out medium is because I did open the grill cover a lot because I had asparagus grilling, so I did lose some heat, but in the end it didn't seem to matter. But all the tips and suggestions were great!!

But all the tips and suggestions were great!! You should have just cooked the asparagus while you were letting the steak sit after cooking. Asparagus should only grill for about 4 minutes. I usually just coat asparagus in a little olive oil, sprinkle on some garlic salt and throw it directly on teh grill.
