FantasyKing 4 Posted July 12, 2006 According to 3 experts in my Fantasy Football Index magazine, Anquan Boldin is not in the top 25 of WRs. Of course, they are morons.

Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 There are a lot of RB I'd be happy with as my #2, so thought I'd wait and get another stud at a position. Although it is early for Gates, I think it makes more sense here with only a 2-2-1 RB-WR-TE starting lineup. Whoever freakny is - I like his last two picks. Chambers killed me in the playoffs last year. I must have played against that idiot in 4 or 5 playoff games.
FantasyKing 4 Posted July 12, 2006 Whoever freakny is - I like his last two picks. While I like Chambers, I think McGahee is very overrated and that offense will continue to be atrocious.
Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 While I like Chambers, I think McGahee is very overrated and that offense will continue to be atrocious. Agreed. QB play will be horrible. O-line is another train wreck. They'll be fighting for the #1 overall pick next year.
Kilroy 0 Posted July 12, 2006 The people coming up on CC may want to predraft real quick. After my next pick there's 3 CCs in a row and you won't the time you may think you do. Just a heads up.
Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 How did ric get on computer control? I think Dolphins CC since the start is doing well - R. Brown, Owens, J. Lewis

Kilroy 0 Posted July 12, 2006 While I like Chambers, I think McGahee is very overrated and that offense will continue to be atrocious. I think McGahee was so overated last year that he is underated this season. With the new staff in place and no competition behind him, McGahee could have around 350 carries this season. Jauron's going to build around a solid D and try and run the clock I think. Their QBs aren't really talented enough to create a strong passing game anyway. It may be ugly, but one way or another McGahee should rack up some yards and maybe score 10 times this season.
FantasyKing 4 Posted July 12, 2006 Can't the admin take people off CC? Not that we should, maybe they aren't around anyway.
Kilroy 0 Posted July 12, 2006 How did ric get on computer control? I think Dolphins CC since the start is doing well - R. Brown, Owens, J. Lewis Was wondering the same thing about ric. Also noticed the same for Dolphins draft.
FantasyKing 4 Posted July 12, 2006 Wow the computer really likes the TEs - that list pick was awful and I fear this draft may be roooned.
SoloMatisse 0 Posted July 12, 2006 sorry guys, Im a rookie to this Antsports drafting, so my 1st 4 picks were computer generated, none of which I would have made, but live and learn, and Ive set up my next 20 or so picks. Todd Heap in the 4th?? not a patented Solo pick, rest assured. Mike, I like what youve done with your squad.....

Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 sorry guys, Im a rookie to this Antsports drafting There is too much clicking required to get a pick in with a quick timer, IMHO. Mike, I like what youve done with your squad..... Thanks. I'm not so sure myself. Those RB options I liked didn't fall quite far enough, and I would have preferred Roy Williams to fall where I took Andre Johnson. I still think Gates was the right pick at 3.01, but Boldin at 2.12... maybe not so much. Anyone else surprised Bush fell this far? Not really. I think if it was point per reception he would and should go much higher, but non-PPR this seems about right to me without knowing more what his and Deuce's respective roles will be. SoloMatisse 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Im leaving my team drafting in computer mode. Youre right, Mike. the clicking process is out of control. Ill watch out for your next draft.
Kilroy 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Marc Bulger - another nice pick by freakny
Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 I thought about Dayne with one of my picks instead of Rhodes/DWilliams, but I just can't get past thinking "Ron Freakin' Dayne?!?" Oooo... I like that Matt Jones pick! Thought he would last a while longer. That must be a Compiler user
FantasyKing 4 Posted July 12, 2006 I'm suddenly realizing I don't agree with many of the projections at each position from FFToday. Really like the Bledsoe pick Kilroy, that's usually who I take at about this point - not really sure why I got Eli but think he's a high reward QB. Normally I wait on QBs a little longer, wasn't too prepared for this draft.

Kilroy 0 Posted July 12, 2006 Lets calll this after 10 rounds. Cool? Cool. FK, I wasn't prepared right away either. I would have taken Gonzo over Burress if I actually had things planned out a bit better. Always good to run through one real quick early on though.
FantasyKing 4 Posted July 12, 2006 I'm assuming the Compiler uses the FFToday rankings no? If so, why wasn't Lee Evans selected in the 6th round? I still could not bring myself to pick him even in the 8th round. Yeah he'll have some big games, but he'll have a multitude of 2 for 20 games also. Cool. FK, I wasn't prepared right away either. I like Burress too - I think Gonzo has much comparable talent out there this year. Witten is a guy I really hope to come up big this year. We need to do another live draft soon - this was fun. Its still up to the user to draft who they like, and I'm sure a lot are leary of Evans even though Krueger has him projected quite high. I don't trust any of their QBs. I'd like Evans as my #3/#4 in a start 3-4 WR league, but I really don't see being able to trust him enough to drop him into a #1 or #2 spot in the starting lineup which this league would require. I kinda missed some details on the scoring for this one. Not sure I would have taken Westbrook at 1.10 in a league with no points for receptions. I'd have to hope his TD totals reached double digits. Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 Up to you chief. Yep, 10.12 will be the last "official" pick. We've got enough out of this one I think with now half our guys on CC and we need to draft a K and DEF before round 14.

Yeah - I'm really used to PPR leagues, this has definitely been an experience for me - you definitely place a big difference in values for guys like Westbrook in those leagues. Favre was my target! Talk about taking the wait on QB strategy too far...

Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 I'm going to make my 11.01 pick in the "hope" I can show not is all lost by waiting until 19 other QBs are off the board before getting my #1 and #1A at the position.

Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 12, 2006 There are still some great value picks/players available... QB - I like Philip Rivers although he would be tough to start in a start 1 QB, 12 team league RB - Ryan Moats I would have picked off those last picks if QB wasn't such a need to have to take 2 - Cedric Houston WR - Antonio Bryant - Mark Clayton - Isaac Bruce Those are the 3 that jump out of at me, in reverse order of preference. TE - Heath Miller and Ben Watson who just went - Jerramy Stevens - Vernon Davis Many good picks here. I thought Kellen Winslow was great value where he went too. Great job everyone! Thanks for coming out! Rosters

Lewis I like my computer picked team too....funny thing is I would not have gone that way.....I would have probably gone Manning round 1 and possibly Steve Smith or CJ round 2.....but I will take Brown and Owens dont care for the Lewis pick....Oh and I like my QBS.... As I said in the other thread.....I am sorry I couldnt make it....Something came up with my 9 year old son...I will be willing to be in the next one if it happens... Why do some people have 4 RBs and no def and no k....did yall stray from the roster requirements...
