Another Fox Sports article from an "expert"

This article is not completely outrageous, but does this author really understand what fantasy football is? This article was titled "Who'll be best RB in fantasy football?"

Deals only w/ rushing total...which isn't unreasonable...guys like LJ and SA make their $$$ crossing the goalline. I question Willis being as high as he is, cause that Oline is dreadful.

It does state that he's talking about rushing yards, so it's not THAT crazy of a list , but yes he's definitely reaching by having Rueben Droughns & Willis McGahee that high.... and leaving Jordan out, but hey that's what he thinks..... Opinions are like A$$holes everyone has one, and in fantasy it doesn't mean jack what you "think" until all the smoke clears..... I mean if Shanahan took his head out of his a$$ and gave the ball to Tatum Bell 25 times a game (assuming he could handle it) you may have a top 3 RB right there.... Dominic Rhodes or Joseph Addai (assuming one or the other takes the # 1 role) could be a top 10 RB as well... ETC... ETC... ETC...

 

That's the great thing about fantasy football though cause ya just never know... and people's "Opinions" especially the so called "experts" opinions are just as credible as us sicko's who follow everything that's going on in the NFL through and through....

Why do people think it is crazy? I think the list is perfectly sane. In fact, other than his JJ pick... I pretty much totally agree with his thinking

 

Those who said they left off Jordan and why is McGahee and Droughns on the list:

 

2005

Jordan - 1025 yards

McGahee - 1247 yards

Droughns - 1232 yards

 

I'd say all of their situations are about the same, with Droughns being in a more favorable one than last year with the addition of Bentley (and a tackle they picked up who's name escapes me).

 

As for Jordan... Norv Turner is as run oriented as any coach there is... and their D seems just as bad as last year... so I see no reason why his numbers would improve other than possibly Brroks and/or Moss helping keep the offense on the field.

Missed that it was a rushing leaders only list. That certainly makes more sense then.

Since this was about rushing yardage, I think the guy lacked imagination more than anything. His projections barely strayed at all from the previous year's totals. There's nothing to really argue about, except that these things change from year to year, rather than stay the same.
