BirdBradyBobbyOrr 0 Posted July 27, 2006 http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/...rticleid=150124 Brady will win 8 Super Bowls! That's right I said it!
MikeMoses 0 Posted July 27, 2006 The Jags intend to run a lot of 2 tight end sets this year as well.
RicemanX 20 Posted July 27, 2006 I think the Niners will be doing that as well. Or putting Eric Johnson as TE and Vernon Davis at slot reciever.
Byars41 0 Posted July 27, 2006 Eagles signed Schobel to play with LJ Smith Cowboys drafted Fasano to play with Witten seems like alot of teams are using multiple TEs.
akaoni 0 Posted July 27, 2006 With the influx of talanted TEs and increased importance in the passing game, 2 TE set is already pretty established, no?
Byars41 0 Posted July 27, 2006 With the influx of talanted TEs and increased importance in the passing game, 2 TE set is already pretty established, no? i agree. alot of teams use 2 TEs. even in KC, they have Dunn as the blocking TE and Gonzo as the receiving (and blocking) TE. Nichee 0 Posted July 27, 2006 The article says: “We’re not talking about your father’s formations from the days of John Mackey and Mike Ditka. Today’s top-flight tight end is built like a linebacker, but runs like a receiver.” So, what are we talking about then? Are the New England tight ends going to line up 10 yards behind the quarterback? Or maybe they’ll be on the line of scrimmage but 3 yards wider than the receivers? jgcrawfish 232 Posted July 27, 2006 http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/...rticleid=150124 Brady will win 8 Super Bowls! That's right I said it! Go away homer...
bigtuna 0 Posted July 27, 2006 the Pats have been using mostly 2 TE sets since Marc Edwards left as their FB. No news.
Zackattack 0 Posted July 27, 2006 If Bird and Brady were on thier knees in front of you who would you blow first? Dude get a grip c'mon this is not any new news at all. Why don't you go to lunch have some chawda, a lobster roll and a few Sam Adams and leave us all alone for a while.
BirdBradyBobbyOrr 0 Posted July 28, 2006 the Pats have been using mostly 2 TE sets since Marc Edwards left as their FB. No news. Tuna that is not exactly accurate. They have run some 2 TE sets but they've never done it the majority of the offensive plays. They will this year. Also they've never run an offense with a TE of Watson's athelitcism, and finally they have never 4 TE's (including the fullback) Mills with this much talent. It is sort of new which is why it's all anyone is talking about in the Bean and why this reportere did a 4 page article on it.
pittnthat 0 Posted July 28, 2006 if the pats are setting trends does that mean all head coaches have to have affairs with married women?
Ignignokt 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Also they've never run an offense with a TE of Watson's athelitcism You know, I'm pretty sure they did last year.
Let Da Big Dog Eat 40 Posted July 28, 2006 Exactly WHAT is "trend setting" about running 2 TE sets? That was the standard formation in the leather helmut, no facemask era.
ratbastard1 0 Posted July 28, 2006 If Bird and Brady were on thier knees in front of you who would you blow first? New england homer here and if they were on their knees wouldnt they be doing the blowing? Why don't you go to lunch have some chawda, a lobster roll and a few Sam Adams... That sounds YUMMY! That said a 2 TE set is nothing new, even in NE. (Watson, Graham, Fauria, Wiggins or even Vrabel anyone?)
Ras66not99 0 Posted July 28, 2006 New england homer here and if they were on their knees wouldnt they be doing the blowing? LOL .... glad u caught that ...
IndyTom 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Dude - it's time to come out of the bathroom. You have been stroking the Patriots threads for days with "news-less" posts that are nothing more than a Patriots fan in heat. Even the diehard longtime Patriots posters on here are starting to distance themselves. I have an idea. Instead of coming up with a thread alleging that the Patriots created the first two TE set (the Colts have been doing this for years, by the way), how about touching upon Branch or Seymour and how it may, realistically (see: what may really happen) affect the team. Hey Indy Tom! I just want you to know that some of my favorite games ever have been watching New England destroy Indy at Foxboro. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Peyton collapse last season. But like I said I really enjoy when we beat your team over and over and over and over again.
Let Da Big Dog Eat 40 Posted July 28, 2006 My money is on IndyTom in this one. Think BirdBradyBobbyOrr is going to get his feet wet from Tom pissing all over his shoes. Two TE sets are not new. See my prior post.

See my prior post. Read the article if you want. It's and interesting article and it does much more then just talk about the Patriots. Don't read it if you don't want. And by the way until Indy wins a SuperBowl or even just beats the Patriots in an important game, I WIN!
ratbastard1 0 Posted July 28, 2006 And by the way until Indy wins a SuperBowl or even just beats the Patriots in an important game, I WIN! Man will you shut up? You sound stupid when you act like you are a winner because the Pats win. As if you have done anything? Where were you when my beloved Pats had red uniforms? Get some class. I do agree with you that the Pats will be using different TE packages that might even have some innovation to them. I will also read the article again. P.S. I love the Handle but dont want to read jibberish. You have a responsibility to be the best poster you can be with a handle like that. Why no Big Papi?
