Trading from 5 to 4...?

Recommended Posts

yes, swap 2nd round picks and 6th round picks.

Sounds fair to me. you're welcome.

I actually pick 5th this year, and my brother picks 4th. I told him I'd buy the pizza on draft day if he told me who he was targeting at the 4th spot...mission accomplished.

If you don't feel comfortable moving up one spot, move to 3rd overall.

The only point to trading up one spot is if it will get you into another tier of player or you have a strong conviction about a specific player.

In this case, I think moving from 5 to 4 could reap you some benefits.

If things go as predicted, then LJ, SA & LT will be gone, but at #4 you would have your pick of the next tier of RBs.

Also, if someone ahead of you makes a wierd pick then one of the "top 3"/upper tier RBs will fall to you.

If you believe in a FFB Trade Value Chart like the one listed at this link

http://www.kffl.com/article.php/14365/297

then your 5th pick and 3rd rounder would just about equal his 4th pick and 4th rounder.

Does anybody else follow a trade value chart? I kind of use it as a guidline if people start wanting to trade later in the draft for people that they have picked plus draft picks. I have to then combine an ADP list with it to get a value on the person they picked.

any thoughts?

no need to move up. just go to the draft with a baseball bat and tell the guy in the 4 spot if he takes your guy you'll bust his knee cap. problem solved.

family collusion ?

Not really, we play in the same division...but our needs are different. He needs a 2nd RB, and I'm looking for a WR/3rd RB.

Sharing information is not collusion. I tell other guys in the league all sorts of things, some could be true, most is BS.

I hear that. I arrange for the place where we meet to draft every year, so I'm always the first one there. Well, last year, the guy who had the #1 pick was this guy who never does his homework and just grabs a mag the day of. I was picking #2. I wanted LT. So I schmoozed Mr. #1 up before anyone else got there and kind of nudged him towards taking Manning #1 overall so I could get LT.

I was this close to my 2nd championchip in a row (settled for 2nd.)

I would have gotten away with it too if not for those meddling kids...and TO being a douche bag...and the guy who beat me out for 1st place having LJ & SSmith. :bandana:
