TucsonMike 0 Posted July 31, 2006 How serious do you take a mock draft compared to the real draft? It sort of depends on what you are hoping to get out of the mock. My friends and I don't draft for another couple of weeks and we have done about six partial (first 10 rounds only) mocks. Personally, I am using those to prepare myself for any potential draft position. If you are in the top 3 then you don't have a ton of thinking to do but after that it gets interesting. Best advice with a mock - use it strictly to gauge how you would react based on draft position and pay a lot of attention to draft flow (i.e. QBs, TE runs, etc.) Good luck
harken34 0 Posted July 31, 2006 I do it more for fun. But it helps when you practice at anything. Surprises come up in your draft and you need to be ready.
listen2me 23 1,972 Posted July 31, 2006 I take them almost as serious.....I just might do some different things in a few than I would actually do in a real draft....just to get a feel on different combinations
Skinny_Bastard 159 Posted July 31, 2006 A waste of time. All you really have to do is take out your draft the last 2-3 years and get a feel for each team's draft strategy and their favorite players/team.
