Which QB? Will respond...

Hi everybody. I waited late in my draft to grab QB's and currently have Warner and Brooks. I bought into the Brooks hype and while I still think there' some potential there with that offense, his lackluster performance so far in preseason has allowed just a bit of doubt to creep in. At the same time, it seems like Leftwich might have a favorable situation with all of his available weapons. McNair and Mason (who I have) seem to be clicking so perhaps McNair is worth a look. Kitna's got a potential high-powered offense and I hear that Carr and A Johnson might finally be clicking too.

 

So what would you do? Drop Brooks for Lefty or McNair? Other opinions? THanks, WILL RESPOND!!

I wouldn't drop brooks for leftwich. leftwich is throwing to who? matt jones, a second year wr. mcnair i would think about....i think kitna's a sleeper. i would keep brooks, but give kitna a look too...

Brooks sucks man. He might not even win the starting job. I would drop him for McNair. I don't see how McNair can't be solid with Mason, Heap, and Jamal Lewis. Carr is a nice sleeper too, but I'd rather see him put a decent game or 2 together before I'd look at him for fantasy.

mcnair and kitna...older...but could be great sleepers.

I like McNair and Carr. My only worry with McNair is that he is going to key n his old buddy Derick Mason too often. He still has a great TE, and a good young WR in Clayton.

 

Carr finally has a decent reciver on the other side of Johnson on Moulds, plus the new coaching staff should improve the O line considerably. Carr has all the tools to succeed now.

I like the direction that Houston is headed, and Carr is poised to breakout (finally). Kitna is a sleeper this year, surround by weapons & an offensive genious in Martz (look at what he did in STL). Everybody is hyping up McNair just because he's reunited with Mason...but I don't see him having a good year. And you said you had Mason. Personally I don't like having a QB & WR from the same team.

I'm somewhat surprised nobody seems to think Leftwich is a good option. He was having a heck of a year last year before the injury and is supposedly fine now. I just know that in the red zone, he has several huge targets that are going to cause matchup problems for any defense. M Jones at 6'6", E Wilford at 6'4", M Lewis 6'6", and R Williams at 6'4". Seems like somewhere in there are TD's waiting to happen.

I agree with Aggie. I really like Leftwich this year. Brooks is gonna suck again this year. Just like he did in NO, just like Collins did last year in OAK.

o.k., now i'm back to agreeing with big blue. i'm hearing tons of opinions that the raiders could be picking first next year (hence, last place this year). personally, the whole raider team is off limits for me, except janokowski (sp?) whom, i believe , will get a lot of work. see rackers (sp?) last year.

 

i'd drop brooks & grab mcnair asap. it seems like folks are thinking warner will be very good while playing but put in, what, 10 games? mcnair should have his groove by then.

Drop Brooks and go with McNair. He has better potential this year than Leftwich. Brooks is just flat out awful and I would drop him even if there was no one else to pick up.
