ppierce 2 Posted August 21, 2006 I'm thinking RB-RB or Manning RB and would like to see what your guys teams look like. I'm more curious as to what i'll be looking at in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

NuttyIrishman 0 Posted August 21, 2006 Had mine last night and this is what I ended up with: Round 1: E. James Round 2: C. Williams Round 3: Donald Driver Round 4: Roy Williams Round 5: Chester Taylor Round 6: D. McNabb Round 7: Matt Jones Round 8: Troy Williamson Round 9: Tampa Bay D Round 10: Mike Clayton Round 11: B. Jacobs Round 12: Josh Brown Round 13: Byron Leftwich Round 14: Miami D Round 15: Ladell Betts Round 16: Matt Stover Our draft took some real wierd turns. I thought I had the first few rounds pretty well thought out but there were some crazy picks thrown in.

You should have the third pick (ie..2.3, 4.3) Is this a typo?
mattb333 0 Posted August 21, 2006 How did you wind up with the 1st pick starting in round 2 and every other round thereafter. You should have the third pick (ie..2.3, 4.3) Is this a typo? Not if it is a 10 teamer
jgcrawfish 232 Posted August 21, 2006 Not if it is a 10 teamer Hence the title, "who picked #10 of out 10..." The shocking part was Portis sitting there at the 10 spot along. When I took LJordan, guys like RBrown, CWilliams and RJohnson were still available. Like I said, strange draft.
MikeMoses 0 Posted August 21, 2006 Not if it is a 10 teamer Funny thing is I just read the first part of the title since I have the 10th pick (out of 12) this year...oh well. At least that puts some of his picks and available players in perspective.
ppierce 2 Posted August 21, 2006 Edge and Poris are lasting till 1.10? How sophisticated are these leagues? Not a knock but I'm curious. We've been around for 11 years and Im wondering if those guys are lasting in the more veteran leauges. Or are these Yahoo Pub's?
OB1 33 Posted August 21, 2006 Not me, but the Team that picked 10 in my league looks like this: 1.1 RB Edgerrin James 2.01 RB Lamont Jordan 3.1 WR Anquan Boldin 4.01 WR Hines Ward 5.1 RB Reuben Droughns 6.01 WR Roy Williams 7.1 WR Lee Evans 8.01 RB Tatum Bell 9.1 TE Chris Cooley 10.01 QB Kurt Warner 11.1 QB Ben Roethlisberger 12.01 PK Mike Vanderjagt 13.1 WR Donte' Stallworth 14.01 DEF Washington 15.1 QB Mark Brunell 16.01 TE Jerramy Stevens 17.1 PK Phil Dawson 18.01 DEF Philadelphia We start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE He wound up with one of the best teams in our league. I like the 10 spot in 10 teamers this year. I have that spot in my 2nd league's draft next Sunday and with a few exception i'd be very happy with something like this. Edge and Poris are lasting till 1.10? How sophisticated are these leagues? Not a knock but I'm curious. We've been around for 11 years and Im wondering if those guys are lasting in the more veteran leauges. Or are these Yahoo Pub's? My league has been around for over 9 years and has a lot of original owners. Portis went 4 for us, but Edge lasted until 10. People are scared of the terrible Ari O-line, and to be fair, the one owner in our league who is questionable took Caddy at 9 over Jordan and Edge. I thought that was the surprise pick of the draft until he took Parker at 2.02 It all depends on how risk adverse your league mates are.

As I mentioned, it was a bit of strange draft...skewered by one definite odd pick of a Defense. No, it's not a Yahoo publick league, but after that pick, it might has well have been... mkuz 0 Posted August 21, 2006 guy in my league with the 10th of 10 went manning then RB, ended up with a decent team. QB- p. manning(1) RB- l. jordan,(2) RB- j. lewis(5) WR- t. holt(3) WR- s. moss(4) Flex- t. jones(6) TE- j. witten(7) K D 6 on bench to my suprise, after he picked manning a lot of the guys went on a run for their QB's so he was able to land good WR's and i waited for delhomme so i did too. You have to discredit me some because I'm a Bush homer, but otherwise: 1.10 Ronnie Brown 2.01 Reggie Bush (Called out in reverse order so I could be considered as having made worst pick ever) 3.10 Warrick Dunn 4.01 Reggie Wayne 5.10 Javon Walker 6.01 T.J. Houshmandzadeh 7.10 Laurence Maroney 8.01 Carson Palmer (jaw dropping at 8.01 - made up for Bush) 9.10 Jake Plummer 10.01 Todd Heap (TE not required in our league) 11.10 Pittsburgh Steelers 12.01 Ernest Wilford 13.10 Vincent Jackson 14.01 Wali Lundy 15.10 Priest Holmes (senitmental reasons and dropped for Morency) 16.01 Matt Stover
