Big Papi

So Jeter is admitting he isn't the MVP?

Yes...although, I think it also goes to underscore the reason that I'd rather have Jeter on my team than Big Papi. Namely, Jeter's focus is on winning a championship, at the expense of the personal accolades that he could get if he were on a lesser team.

Jeter only cares about the world championshiup trophy.

Also, the remark he made was absolutly awesome.... " At least we have something to play for this year " ... ;)

dont let the red suxs fans tell you otherwise, it hurts and that remark is salt in the wounds :dunno:

2004 :wall:

It's easier to take the high road when your team is 10 games ahead of everyone else in the division with 3 weeks left in the season. Ortiz is absolutely right though, there have been MVPs that have won the award on teams that were worse than this Red Sox team. But voters will pick who they want to pick for whatever reason, it varies from year to year.

As for who deserves the MVP, I don't care at this point. Baseball season would be completely dead to me right now if not for fantasy baseball. :bench:

I have a lot of respect and admiration for Big Papi but he needs to grab a glove a field some grounders before he even sniffs an MVP trophy. I don't care if he hits 70 HRs.

He did in the 2004 World Series.

Typical Red Sux response. That entire team and their fanbase are a bunch of classless quitting whiners who should STFU and be glad they fluked their way into buying a championship on the year the Yankees took a vacation from focking them in the ass for the first time in a hundred years.  :first: :headbanger:

Perhaps, but they pay off when they lose a bet. How about you, mascara boy?
