So somebody from absolutepoker gave me a free 20 bucks for signing up at Titan poker (I know her from playing her private sit and go's at AP). Played my first turbo sit an go and got 2nd place...net of 1.80...whoo--hoo.

Second game last night...still early...limp in with AK suited....one dude raises to like 240...I'm like WTF, I'll go all in. He calls with 10 3 off  Hits two threes on the flop. I know it was only a 2 dollar buy in, but dang

Playing my 3rd game there right now...a 20 person sit and go...top 5 get paid.

Yer all ghay. Last time I was at the casino, I checked bullets, all around, so I could show 'em. A guy later said, out loud "If he checks pocket Aces ... what's he betting on now?"

And I just kinda shrugged my shoulders, it was a bluff, and it worked, I took down another pot.

Casino limit ... is another world from innernet NL.

IS that the truth? I really didn't think it would pass? :dunno:

Shares in online gambling giant PartyGaming were up almost 4% yesterday after news that Bill Frist, the Senate majority leader, looks to have failed in his attempts to attach the anti-gambling bill to 'must-pass' bills in an attempt to get the bill through the Senate before Congress shuts down this weekend.

The US Senate is keen to get the politically sensitive Homeland Security Bill through before the weekend, and Bill Frist had tried to attach his anti-gambling bill to the important piece of legislation, but it looked set to be pushed through yesterday without the gambling curbs attached.

Frist is also trying to attach the anti-gambling bill to the Defence Bill, but his efforts there appeared to be in vain also. In

Casino Tropez

any case, The Times Online report that the Defence Bill itself is unlikely to get through before the deadline tomorrow.

Online gambling industry analysts now feel that the chances of the anti-gambling bill getting through before the deadline are very remote. There is a chance the bill might be aired in a "lame duck" session of Congress, but historically, those sessions are usually reserved for more important pieces of legislation.

It's looking increasingly likely that if Frist wants to get his bill passed, he will have to start the entire process all over again next year, by which stage it is thought gambling lobby groups will be able to make it much harder than it was for Frist this time around.

Upon hearing the news, PartyGaming shares rose 4¼p to 105¾p, with further rises expected Monday should the bill not get through this weekend.

Frist Squeaking Gambling Prohibition Act Through

PPA President Calls for Action

Right now Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is working to attach the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act to a Port Defense Bill that will be voted on sometime this evening.

“There’s a high degree of concern on our behalf that Senator Frist is going to be able to push this through,” said Michael Bolcerek, president of the Poker Players Alliance. “We’re outraged. This is political gamesmanship.”

Later tonight, the rules committee will decide if the Prohibition Act will be added to a bill dealing with port defense. It won’t be added if it’s deemed too controversial, something the PPA believe is the case.

If the rules committee doesn’t think it’s too controversial, it will be added and the Port Security Bill will be voted on sometime around midnight. It will be the last vote of the evening.

The PPA is encouraging its members and poker lovers to get in touch with their lawmakers this evening. A list of every Senator’s number can be found at the PPA’s webpage http://www.pokerplayersalliance.org/.

yes. frist tacked it on to a port security bill, and it passed like 401-2. easily.

only thing left to do is for bush to sign (he will), and then 270 days for it to go into effect.
