Trade for Bears D?

Recommended Posts

Guys,

I am a BIG fan of the Bears, and really want their Defense. My team is below in my sig. I offered the guy with the Bears D....Randy Moss and Philly D. He turned that down.

I offered him Chad Johnson and the Philly D...we both said we need to think about that.

The Bears are 2nd in fantasy points for D's with 80...the Eagles are 3rd with 65 fantasy points.

Baltimore

155 4 46 18.0 2 9 5 1 0 86

Chicago

112 7 30 18.0 0 7 8 0 0 80

Philadelphia

180 19 91 23.0 0 6 5 2 0 65

Do I offer CJ and Philly? Or is this too much? What would you offer him? I would say he needs a WR...we start 3, and he has Boldin, Glenn and really nobody else (G Lewis & Randle El).

Thanks!

I don't think he's gonna trade the Chicago D if he won't take Philly and Chad Johnson for it. I know your a bears fan but that might be a bit much.

Being a fan is one thing but giving up your best WR for a D is another. I would stick with Philly due to the fact that you are in great shape with CJ and it would hurt your team. You can win more games, He is anidiot for not taking CJ, Philly for Bears D. Consider yourself lucky.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply on mine. Our teams are very similar.

If you want the Bears defense that badly, then go get it. C. Johnson hasn't really put up much stats yet. I wouldn't miss him off of my team. Defenses are focusing on him and Houshmanzadeh is getting all of the looks and catches. Johnson and Philly sounds like a good deal to me. The Bears defense is unstoppable and will continue to put up monster numbers IMO.

I'd say you're giving too much for the Bears D, I'd step down with the receiver offer but obviously someone who is more attractive to him than Randy Moss.

It's a;ways hard to not want players off your favorite team. However, seeing that Philly isn't that far behind Chicago in fantasy points it wouldn't really be worth you doing it. If you're going to do it, do it for Moss, not Chad.

Personally I think trading one of the best recievers and a good defense for a great defense isn't really worth it. I think Johnson will come on and Philadelphias defense has playmakers and can cause turnovers. I personally think u are giving up too much. I know the press clippings are saying the Bears defense can break the 2000 Ravens record for points allowed but dont buy too much into that right now. If u can counter with a 2nd tier reciever that maybe better but I would stand pat if it means u giving up CJ. Thanks for seeing mine!

You're giving up too much. Philly's DST is almost as good as Bears plus you still have Chad. Chad will put up numbers. the Philly D is getting better as people get healthy and Eagles keep kicking people's butts.

Stand pat and GO BEARS!

Don't make a stupid homer move. Look at the numbers. You're going to give up more than you get back. The diff in DEF points you mentioned is 3 points/week! You'll lose a lot more than 3 points by giving him CJ.

There is no way you should trade CJ. He will turn it around. He is one the best WR's in the league and he is WAY too much to give up to improve your defense from the #3 D to the #2 D in the league. I can't believe the other guy actually has to think about it. You're lucky you have time to get out of this trade because it is completely one sided and you're on the wrong end.
