Would you trade? Is this a good trade?

Recommended Posts

I want to upgrade my defense. I was thinking of offering my Patriots defense and Travis Henry in return I get Bears defense and Chris Perry (Bengals). If you were the other team, would you accept? Am I giving up too much in Henry. My team is down below in blue.

The other team has:

QB - Vick , Culpepper , Losman

RB - Westbrook , Benson , Norwood , Jamal Lewis , Perry

WR - C. Johnson , McCardell , Wayne , Bennet , C. Henry , Horn , Williamson

TE - Winslow

Def - Bears

Should I offer the trade? ;) I will answer yours

That's not a bad trade offer, though I don't think I would accept it because of the added value of the bears' DST. I see it's a keeper league but if the other guy wants to win this year, then he should take a shot at getting Henry. On the other hand I think the Bears will continue to be a dominant force. If i was him I might demand a different/better RB or I might ask for Grossman (+NE) which you could afford. He's carrying Culp and Losman and that's a bit of a puzzle to me. Vick just went off so maybe that's a tougher sell now, but Vick is definitely no mr. consistency. Why not offer him two trade options, Henry+NE or Grossman+NE and point out that his season is over and the Bears won't help him if he doesn't get another starting RB.

Thanks for answering mine.

Not sure if Henry will keep up his performance. Look at his schedule. Take the Bears DST for sure!!!

I for the most part agree with everyone, getting the Bears D will help alot and you have depth at RB so you can offer Henry. Not sure i'd part with the Bears D if I were him but he does need a back.

Thanks for answering mine...

Good Luck

Peace...

If you don't need Travis Henry on your team, then the deal looks good. You can never use too many extra RB's though as they get hurt all the time. The Bears D is an upgrade from the Patriots, but not by much. It also depends on how much weight your scoring system gives to Defense. Patriots are pretty good already.

Thanks for the reply on mine.

Personally, I would let him suffer until he comes with a trade proposal to you. He has no true #2 RB, so unless you think that one is going to emerge from his team, I would wait it out. Then, let him know that you would be interested in trading for the Bears DEF, and you want him to make an offer. See what happens. Maybe he will demand even less than Henry for the Bears. You are in the position of power, because the Patriots are no slouch on DEF, especially this week against the hapless Vikings offense. Make your opponent sell low...

I'd definitely do this trade. By starting Chicago D each week you are adding to your point total... the other guy needs a RB and your RBs are solid. Also if Rudi ever goes down you'd have a good back in Perry.
