IGotWorms 4,058 Posted November 1, 2006 I was looking over potential lineups for next weekend and saw that I had a RB playing the Oakland Raiders. I could hardly click fast enough to make him my starter before I realized it was Maurice Morris. So other Morris owners, are you going to start him? And if not, is he even worth a roster spot if you won't start him against a terrible run D like Oakland's?
The Hunter 0 Posted November 1, 2006 no, i will not start him, and he isn't worth anything. i traded alexander away, and am probably going to dangle morris and get some sort of value for him. he sits behind warrick dunn, chester taylor, kevin jones, wali lundy and jerious norwood for me. Jamy_Z 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I am a SA owner and I dropped Morris' ass for Mike Bell. Hopefully Tatum is injured until SA gets back.
Mephisto 15 Posted November 1, 2006 I'm starting him.
RunRastaRun 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I'm starting him. So am I.
ggroovy17 0 Posted November 1, 2006 So am I. I'm starting Corey Dillon and Marion Barber over him. That tells you how much I think of him and Seattle's offensive line that i'd rather start 2 players that split time over MoMo who gets all the carries. chidoy 0 Posted November 1, 2006 IMHO, unless your in a DEEEEEP league like 14-16 teams, I don't like Morris in FF. He hasn't done much of anything and what happens when SA gets back? He goes back to WW fodder. But like I said, I can understand starting him if you are in a deep league. Good luck!
Mack 1 6 Posted November 1, 2006 In the 4 games he has started, he's only scored a TOTAL of 15 points in my league's scoring system. I dropped his punk-ass this week for 79-year-old Morten Andersen and feel all the better for it.
Timinator 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I'm in a very deep league (24) and he's only covered Bye weeks for me. Thinking about dropping him for Culpepper who just hit the wire.
mccombsau 5 Posted November 1, 2006 IMO no starting RB should be on the Waivers, RB's get pounded all game every week. You never know when one of your starting guys is going down....I would rather have him warming my bench than a WR than averages 6 points per game. IF SA doesn't return (I really don't have any idea) Seattle still has 2 games vs SanFran (one in 1st week of FF playoffs). Those games alone should be enough to hold onto the guy. Personally, I haven't started him since I picked him up but you never know how Seneca pay perform, he may open up the offense and help MoMo out Like I said in the beginning IMO
houstons_most_wanted 0 Posted November 1, 2006 He seems like he would be a sure start against the Raiders, but like people above me have said, he has not been productive ever since SA went down...if anything, it's opened up the scoring to the WRs, and not Morris. I was thinking about starting him, but I think I'd rather go with FWP and Freddy T.
piece of work 0 Posted November 1, 2006 gotta start him......I have edge and westbrook on a bye so i start gore and mmorris this week....yikes WHY CANT THEY GET MMORRIS INVOLVED IN THE PASSING GAME????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? JT 137 Posted November 1, 2006 Morris hasn't done squat, but he's also had some tough matchups: @ Chicago, vs St L (in a game where he did have about 75 yds rushing), vs Minny (Hasselbeck goes down early in the 2nd half), @ KC (with Wallace at QB). I don't expect him to set the world on fire (there's a reason guys are career backups), but a home game on MNF vs the Raiders should be his best opportunity so far. He'll get a start for me with Westbrook on a bye.
craphouse rats 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I know this sounds crazy but would you start Morris this week against the Rada's over Gore in a TD heavy league? I have a feeling, hunch, preminition, he will score this week, maybe even twice. Trying to decide what to do.
jgilkey513 6 Posted November 1, 2006 I am in a 12 man, TD heavy league in which I personally have scored he same amount of points as MoMo. I traded W. McGahee for Vick last week with the expectation that SA would be back for MNF. With that said, I am now forced to roll with MoMo. My feeling is he will do nothing, but strange things happen on MNF and you never know how he will react to his big opportunity on primetime...it may be his last. I suck anyways this year, why not? Q.B.: Vick, Plummer (3 points passing, 6 rushing, bonus point after 300 yrds pass.) R.B. SA, W. Dunn, M. Morris, Buckhalter, M.Robinson (Standard, bonus point after 75 yds) W.R.: J. Walker, Cotchery, B. Johnson, E. Moulds (Standard, bonus point after 75 yds) T.E.: A Gates (Standard, bonus point after 75 yds) K: S. Graham, Tynes D/ST: Chargers, Saints
Morrison16 0 Posted November 1, 2006 I really like him for only this week for three main reasons: 1. MNF 2. Its his last start to prove something to himself, coach, family, girlfriend, etc.... You better believe he will come with everything he as. 3. Oakland's rush defense is horrible and their pass defense is not toooo bad. I really dont expect Holmgren to rely on Seneca to pass all day. Im taking the gamble and using him in the flex.
craphouse rats 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Would anyone start Morris over Gore this week?
piece of work 0 Posted November 1, 2006 Would anyone start Morris over Gore this week? absolutely not.....gore went for 111 on 12 carries against chicago.....I could be wrong but go with gore. They should not be down 17-0 like last week without gore even getting a carry........wow.
baltfool 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Would you trade Reggie Williams and Travis Henry for Morris?
ggroovy17 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Would you start Maurice Morris over Marion Barber III in a heavy TD league? MBIII has 6 TD's this year and is the #11 scoring RB in my league (I know it's a jacked up scoring system), but that's how much TD's mean in this league. So would you start Maurice Morris over Marion Barber III given my circumstances?
bryberns 0 Posted November 3, 2006 Just so you know..... I was 5-0 before I aquired MM and started him..... Since then i'm 0-3......dropped him this week thank god..... He's a CURSE...drop him like he's hot
