Texansfan 0 Posted November 27, 2006 Just saw on the news where Washington is getting slammed with snow and ice everywhere? Any homers shed some light on the weather forecast for the game tonight?
Franknbeans 46 Posted November 27, 2006 snow showers 40% but I'm no homer.
mahoney 9 Posted November 27, 2006 I think it'll be fine. If it snows again here today (it should) mostly the north (snohomish county-lynnwood, everett) aread should be affected. Game conditions should be fine, maybe a little cold. Yesterday would've been another story.

Ras66not99 0 Posted November 27, 2006 Not for nothing but WTF is up with Seattle and their weather ? I mean does the sun ever shine in that city or what ? Never been there, and I don't mean to knock the people that do live there, but who the hell would want to live in a city where it rains almost every friging day (or so I hear/it seems) ??????? Your facts are as off base as your Falcons/Ravens lock of the year. Places such as NY, ATL, and DC get more avg rainfall per year than Seattle.
Ignition Technition 0 Posted November 27, 2006 Your facts are as off base as your Falcons/Ravens lock of the year. Places such as NY, ATL, and DC get more avg rainfall per year than Seattle. Yep, In Seattle it rains about 38 inches per year, about 1/2 of what it rains in New York City. Well the difference is that in New York it rains hard for an hour and then stops and the weather clears, well more or less. In Seattle it usually drizzles for long periods of time or it rains light.Summers are great though.Almost ZERO rain.
OuttaLuck 0 Posted November 27, 2006 Your facts are as off base as your Falcons/Ravens lock of the year. Places such as NY, ATL, and DC get more avg rainfall per year than Seattle. That may be true, but Seattle is far higher as far as the average number of rainy/overcast skies/precipitation days. Seattle has a lot of drizzle and few downpours, so the average rainfall is less, but I sure wouldn't want to live in a city that has clouds or rain approximately 2/3 of the year. Another thing to consider is that during the winter it usually remains well above freezing, so that when other parts of the U.S. gets snow we end up with rain. As a Seattle native living in Los Angeles now for 12 years, I don't think I could move back. The people are really cool, smart and friendly and the city and surrounding areas are beautiful ... but the weather is really depressing. I think Seattle is where they discovered SAD (seasonal depressive disorder) where people basically sit under a sunlamp for a few hours every week just to counteract the depression of having a grey piece of paper hang over you head for 8 months. It's the coolest city in the US when the sun is shining for six weeks in the summer though!!

Terrific city, friendly people...and close to Vancouver, which is also a plus--but I just can't see waiting all that time each year for the several weeks of good weather. Also, there's no way I could ever root for the SeaHawks after they destroyed my team.
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted November 27, 2006 If weather is a constant issue in seattle why didn't they build a dome?
djrockstar 0 Posted November 27, 2006 If weather is a constant issue in seattle why didn't they build a dome? Well, it's a little like Texas stadium, wherein the roof covers most of the fans. I suppose because it provides the same kind of home field advantage that, say, Lambeau or Gillette offers the Packers and Patriots.

bondrkm 0 Posted November 27, 2006 I work in Auburn (about 20 miles south of Seattle) it's been a funny day weather wise, I've seen snow flurries and then 10 minutes later the sun peeks through the clouds. It appears to be a cold night, but the field will be in great shape. For what it's worth, it's my understanding that the November rainfall in Seattle is close to setting a new 1 month record. mahoney 9 Posted November 27, 2006 As a Seattle native, I love the gloom (not the rain) and the chill weather. I was giddy like a kid when it snowed yesterday. I hate it when its hot outside...

Like I said I've never been there and I'm not knocking the people who do, but everything I HEAR says it's always shitty there...and I was wondering... never said anything about facts.... As for the dig about my bet... How bout you check my gambling track record on this site before bashing my one bet... I'll dig them up if you really want me to go and look for them...... But The Colts game this week I said it would be a blood bath and they'd win by 20, and had Minny to beat Seattle outright a few weeks before that, I don't make many predictions, like people do every week, but when I do i'm usually dead on.... I can't predict that BJ Sams would play the game of his life like that, nor can anyone on this earth... If you watched that game you would know what I'm talkin about... Atlanta had that game....that should have been a FG game any way you slice it...

djrockstar 0 Posted November 28, 2006 Speaking to my brother in law right now in Woodinville, WA (about 15 minutes from stadium). Says the snow is coming down hard. They expect 3+ inches tonight.

Texansfan 0 Posted November 28, 2006 I hope I'm wrong, but I have another forecast... Gimpy Hasselbeck + Crappy weather = Reinjury and/or bad performance... I was counting on him this week too, but doesn't sound good. I bet it's a low scoring S.Alexander vs. A.Green rush fest...

Redstone 0 Posted November 28, 2006 Lived there for 30 years. It snows in Seattle between 0-7 days a year and hardly ever before New Years. We hit the weather lottery tonight. I would be surpised if it lasts the whole game.

War Ensemble 0 Posted November 28, 2006 I've been there twice, in the summer and winter. My mother in law lives in Edmonds, WA. I must say the whole Seattle area is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Not sure if I could live there though.
