Tusekan Raiders 0 Posted January 22, 2007 have u seen a team get more calls and fluky plays than the bears? I don't know, but I do know I've never seen someone so obsessed with complaining and whining about a team and city and come up with more excuses and b.s. "what if" scenarios instead of nutting up and accepting a loss, sorry losses, and reality like a man. Unfortunately, I have seen other people wish bodily harm on someone and their family over a focking football game on a fantasy football message board, but when you did it last week to DrJ, it was just icing on the ellipsis cake that is your internet persona. Stay classy, B!
BMoney 0 Posted January 22, 2007 that mustve hit close to home sorry.... i never denied that the sb team in the 80s wasnt awesome...they were...from walter to singletary.... this team is catching all of the breaks... no tears...just not surprised that there hasnt been 1 bears fan to come on and say yeah..we've caught our share of breaks... all i did was simply state that i was disappointed that seattle was so injured this year..as hurt as they were..they only lost by 3 in ot AT chicago..because i knew seattle could beat NO.. but go on..act as if the bears have dominated all year... where were all of these bears fans the last 20 years? funny how they just showed up 2 years ago... as for me posting about bodily harm..sorry if i did..i was a bit tipsy last week...the only reason i even had that thought was having a few different bears fans wish that on me for my trip home..and this is AFTER a win... I've been here since day 1, as a Bears fan. So don't give me any of that desperate garbage. Dude, every team that wins catches their fair share of breaks. Seattle caught their fair share of breaks to avoid being blown out by about 14 last week. Much like your Seahawks were last year, the Bears are the best of a mediocre conference. Accept it and move on. No one sat here acting like the Seahawks didn't belong like you're being lame and doing now. Even though they caught about the biggest break possible - they got to face a team with no RB's in the NFC Championship game, basically skating through the playoffs with no opponents to face whatsoever. And if they had won, no one would have acted like they were paper champions that didn't earn it on the field like you're trying to do. Sorry that you didn't want the Bears to make it to the Superbowl. They did, now it's time to accept it and get on with your life. But if it makes you feel better, tell you what: I'll admit that the Bears got some breaks when you admit that the Seahawks didn't belong in the Superbowl to begin with, and the only reason they were there is because Carolina had no RB's. Bishop82 61 Posted January 22, 2007 All officials should be fired or at least be forced to give back the payoff from the Bears. 3 free points. Have the Saints spotted the Bears enough already. Oh wait, I mean the officials. 1) the playcalling by new orleans was horrible there 2) how is it that the ref can sit there and be talked into throwing a flag? either you throw it or you don't. you don't let a bear player give you an earful, ponder it for 10 seconds, and then throw a flag. i cant believe seattle lost to the bears damn injuries...like i said.....seattle wouldve beaten NO and seattle is better than NO... have u seen a team get more calls and fluky plays than the bears? destiny was on their side... BiPolarBear 495 Posted January 22, 2007 Hey, I have showed up in threads all year to say the Bears were overrated. I always thought the head coach did a great job. I didn't think the defense was all of "that" and I thought Grossman had suffered a lot in the past and that the trend would continuue I was wrong. Best of luck to the Bears and their fans. So you want Bears fans to say that they caught breaks and won't even qualify a team coming in with no RB's as a break. You're too funny. A break or two doesn't separate teams in 39-14 thumpings. They may put a team into OT, when they should have lost by 14 in regulation, but they don't make a difference in these games. The Saints were beaten, and we were going to beat anybody that the NFC threw at us this season. Without Tommie Harris - that was a great break. Without Mike Brown - what a terrific break there.... But keep acting like we had some sort of tuck rule crap, or had Tony Romo fumble a gimme XP type FG snap, or had a DB drop a 4th down interception that he should have batted down to begin with if that makes you feel so much better. Dueces Will Be Wild 15 Posted January 22, 2007 My view as a Saints fan: Chicago on offense: - Like any game the running game will be key, I would have to believe the Saints will need to keep a safety deep on B.B.'s side at all times to defend against that skinny post - especially if he's lined up on the left against Fred Thomas. Stupid ###### Fred Thomas. - The combo of Thomas Jones coming out of the back-field and Desmond Clark's abilities will be tough on the linebackers so we have to get pressure quickly. Bears didnt really try many passes to the flanks, but Clark did make a nice play down the seam early on. Too busy running down Saints' throat. - Defending the long ball, Clark running down the seam, the flats (including screen passes) will be 10x more difficult if they are getting gashed on first downs, especially early on. Why yes, yes it was. Saints on offense: - Chicago, from what I've seen, is more vulnerable to runs up the middle. I think they will rely on Deuce a lot in the beginning. Why in god's name?? WHY???? - I dont see Reggie being too effective in this game running the ball unless they can slow down their LB pursuit with some reverse action. He'll be used more in the pass game imo (quick screens, etc while lined up out wide). Effective at times - no effort to run - nice td. - Hopefully the running game along w/ some screens and a gimick play or two will keep the defense honest enough for some play-actions to develop. I can only remember one screen - running game was non existant - a few ineffective play-actions - To be honest I havent really seen Chicago play much this year so I don't their secondary very well. If Hester really does start at RCB like ESPN's depth chart says- being a rookie he could be vulnerable. Hopefully Horn will practice at some point this week - his route running and ability to find holes in zones would be invaliable against that Tampa 2. No Horn hurt. Prediction: Saints 457, Chicago 7 (Ditka comes out of the stands, grabs a helmet and runs one 90 yards) Honestly I could throw any arbitrary 3 or 4 point Saints win out there - but if you really want a prediction 23-20. Maybe in the Dome next year. Good game, frustrating to start but Saints rebounded before throwing in the 4th quarter. Deuce with 6 rushes makes me sad. My_Dixie_Normus 0 Posted January 22, 2007 Did you guys notice on that Reggie Bush TD that Urlacher was the last guy to hang with him? He's pretty good. Did you notice that that play changed the momentum... for the Bears. Rookie mistake. If you are going to do some stupid ###### like that, you might want to have the lead first. JGB_11 0 Posted January 22, 2007 the refs knew that if they called things for NO..they would hear about how it was Katrina and chicago will give big tv ratings... This might be the dumbest thing I have ever read!!! Come On BMoney, read that statement again and tell me you are not just being a jealous hater. Please try to defend that statement. For the most part I have always respected your opionon about football, except when it comes to the bears. Why do you have such a bug up your @ss when it comes to chicago? aparoche 0 Posted January 22, 2007 you play for home field and the bears earned home field. that's a huge plus for the bears today, and one they've earned. but i doubt the bears win this game in new orleans or anywhere else but soldier field today. as it stands, they're fighting for their lives. again. The Bears ended up winning by 25 points. Give it a rest, loser Lie-downs fan.

Payton lost that game for them yesterday. The Bears have a vulnerable run D at times, and he didn't even give McAllister (you know, the guy who ran for 140 yards last week) a chance. Deuce blasts Philly for 140, and you give him 6 carries in game conditions suited for power running? Horrible coaching decision. He is a great young coach and did a terrific job with his team this year, but his offensive strategy yesterday given the game conditions was horrible. I think it was a case of the Bears stacking the run and forcing NO to throw. NO got alot of yards through the air, but a big chucnk of it was in that 10 minute span at the end of the half against a prevent (winning) defence and the early 3rd quarter. The Bears D and running game dominated most of the game and Grossman's drive / bomb to Berrian locked it up.

NO's line has been very solid all year, but the D made Brees move around constantly all game long. I can only hope that they accomplish the same versus Manning. If the Bears can hit him in the mouth early on, we'll have a good chance to upset them.
