swamp dog 0 Posted January 21, 2007 1) the playcalling by new orleans was horrible there 2) how is it that the ref can sit there and be talked into throwing a flag? either you throw it or you don't. you don't let a bear player give you an earful, ponder it for 10 seconds, and then throw a flag. The Football Guru 224 Posted January 21, 2007 I don't usually disagree with much of what Aikman and Buck say, but the Bears aren't stopping the run so much as the Saints are almost refusing to run it on back to back plays.
Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted January 21, 2007 2) how is it that the ref can sit there and be talked into throwing a flag? either you throw it or you don't. you don't let a bear player give you an earful, ponder it for 10 seconds, and then throw a flag. It was an obvious call. I'm guessing that the refs wanted to huddle just to confirm, as it was an important play that shouldn't have been "miscalled". swamp dog 0 Posted January 21, 2007 grossman: 5-20-64...and the bears are up by 4 with 3 minutes to go in the third. i'd be surprised...but this has been a fairly common theme this year for the bears.
Cuse9 131 Posted January 21, 2007 I predict this will be the drive where Rex makes a critical mistake that will lose the game for the Bears.
swamp dog 0 Posted January 21, 2007 I predict this will be the drive where Rex makes a critical mistake that will lose the game for the Bears. 2 good throws for rex in a row. and counting.
VaTerp 0 Posted January 21, 2007 I predict this will be the drive where Rex makes a critical mistake that will lose the game for the Bears. I was gonna say that too but those were 2 good throws. Let's see what happens.
The Football Guru 224 Posted January 21, 2007 Usually by this time in a game, it's clear what an offense wants to do. Chicago is not stopping the Saints, the Saints are stopping themselves. I can't understand why in conditions like this, you would have 37 pass attempts to 10 runs through three quarters. And in the pass game, it's almost they are purposely trying to spread it around instead of trying just to hit the open guy. So why it's clear the Saints want to pass, I still don't get their plan of attack and I certainly don't understand why Deuce doesn't already have 18-20 carries. Sho Nuff 720 Posted January 21, 2007 2 good throws for rex in a row. and counting. And the common thing for both...4 man rushes and no pressure on him.

Cuse9 131 Posted January 21, 2007 I predict this will be the drive where Rex makes a critical mistake that will lose the game for the Bears. VaTerp 0 Posted January 21, 2007 That was a weird play.....let's see how this gets ruled...... Looks pretty clear to me. Agounyule (?) had possession of the ball and was down by contact. Bears ball.
swamp dog 0 Posted January 21, 2007 See, Rex ain't so bad Fred Thomas is a tool the funny thing is yahoo had a story this week about how badly thomas sucked and how it was likely he'd cost the saints the game.

VaTerp 0 Posted January 21, 2007 You are correct. Thanks. But i was wrong in think NO would win this game. Good thing I coulnt transfer any money offshore. Now I must turn my rooting powers, or lack there of, to the Colts. Lets go Peyton, Wayne (Members of the SUnday Soldier 2006 Championship team) and Colts D! Chemboy 0 Posted January 21, 2007 GAME OVER. Hopefully that will quell all this Saints-NFL conspiracy crap. Good game by the DEF, Grossman played pretty well.
The Football Guru 224 Posted January 21, 2007 My guess...the Saints started reading their press clippings. No balance on offense today, 15 total touches by Deuce and Bush at this point (32-14). Jones and Benson have 32.

BMoney 0 Posted January 21, 2007 i cant believe seattle lost to the bears damn injuries...like i said.....seattle wouldve beaten NO and seattle is better than NO... have u seen a team get more calls and fluky plays than the bears? destiny was on their side... Cuse9 131 Posted January 21, 2007 So, now I guess we turn to...... Can the Patriots avenge their loss to the Bears in the last Super Bowl..........oh wait, Pats gotta win first!
BMoney 0 Posted January 21, 2007 2) how is it that the ref can sit there and be talked into throwing a flag? either you throw it or you don't. you don't let a bear player give you an earful, ponder it for 10 seconds, and then throw a flag. the refs knew that if they called things for NO..they would hear about how it was Katrina and chicago will give big tv ratings... fred thomas should be in arena 2 if NO gets mad at this and starts to riot and murder people..... will the rest of the US notice or care?
The Football Guru 224 Posted January 21, 2007 I don't know what I thought I knew anymore. Sloppy field, cold weather...this game should have been all Deuce on the ground and a fair share of short dump-offs. The Bears understood to pound the ball. I just don't get it... And by the way, the Bears defense is not playing like their "former selves" today. Yes, they are turning the ball over, but the first-half Bears shut team out in the yardage department as well. The Colts/Pats winner could really pound the Bears as far as I can see.

Cuse9 131 Posted January 21, 2007 YAHHHHHHHHHHHHH BEARS!!! Everyone who picked the Saints can suck it! Suck it? How can they suck it if your mouth is firmly around it at all times? BTW.....I picked the Bears and picked Thomas Jones to get MVP.
The Football Guru 224 Posted January 21, 2007 If I'm a Saints fan, I'm happy to have such an unexpected great season... But if I'm a one-day Saints fan today, this had to be probably the worst game they played this season. Worst play calling, especially...
