swamp dog 0 Posted April 3, 2007 Sheets!! 1 down, 161 to go. got him on my fantasy team, so i loved the performance today...but did i read the boxscore wrong or did the brewers pitch sheets a full 9 today right out of the gate? yep, just double-checked. they sure did. wow. stupidity at its finest. BMoney 0 Posted April 20, 2007 on pace for 97 wins... the best part is..this team is struggling... defensively in center...sheets... and they are still looking good... they are in the middle of a VERY important 22 game divisional stretch...keep er goin boys... SWC 0 Posted April 20, 2007 Sheets gets the start today. His stikeouts are way down right now, and he's walking people. That gives me a little concern, as in the past when his walks go up, he's been injured. Let's hope he can right the ship, and that he's healthy.
Snoopy1 0 Posted April 25, 2007 Another win. Just checked out the stats--- I was surprised to see the Brewers are 2nd in the league in BA, as I keep reading the boxes and I'm see tons of left on base. What was more surprising is that the pitching is only 9th in the NL, kind of dissapointing---though the bullpen has been outstanding so far. Fielding could be better, but that was going to be a given with Hall in center & Weeks...well Weeks being Weeks(though he only has 1 error so far). If Sheets could start pulling things together & the bats keep performing this team might have something.

SWC 0 Posted May 1, 2007 Suppan looked pretty damned good last night. The OF platoon is working out pretty well. Turnblow is an effective 8th inning man. SHADES OF 82.

football_scooter 0 Posted May 2, 2007 what the fock happened to Capuano today? 3 IP, 2 H, no R, 1 K and *poof!* replaced with a 2-0 lead? I started him in 3 leagues - what the fock?!!???! Is he hurt? Chris Capuano, SP (rank: 40) - Brewers Capuano left Wednesday's game with an undisclosed injury after getting hit with a line drive. Fantasy Source spin: We'll update this. fock. just my luck. Hopefully this is nothing serious - I really like Cappy.

Please don't make the weather an excuse for climate controlled ballpark. In addition, the lone day game of the series actually had the highest attendance. Pathetic for such a promising team. I'm not going to argue too much with somebody who doesn't seem to have his facts straight. Roof was open today and it was 54 degrees. Just taking a quick glimpse. Pittsburgh had 13,000, seattle had 19,000, Atlanta had 19,000 in beautiful 80 degree weather, san diego had 19,000. Milwaukee's game was played during the day when most people are working; they had colder weather and still had more people than most places. This coming from one of the smallest population bases in the bigs. Your stretching to make a point that isn't there. The Brewers have historically followed their team disproportionately well through their suckiest seasons. I expect record attendances this year. ETA: Tampa had 9,000; KC had 11,000 combined 4,000 less than the Brewers had today save your "pathetic," drama queen Ahhhhhh... Just looked at your info. You're a bitter Cardinals fan searching for some type of salvation That explains Cleveland (15-8) = 13,000 (11,000 less than the Brewers)

Also it was noted during both the Monday night and Tuesday night telecast that the roof was closed because of your "cold" 50 degree temps. I don't need "salvation" Don. donhaas 18 Posted May 3, 2007 I don't need "salvation" Don. I have 10 World Champ Pennants hanging in my stadium, and it is ALWAYS more than 80% filled I had a friend was a big baseball player Back in high school He could throw that speedball by you Make you look like a fool boy Saw him the other night at this roadside bar I was walking in, he was walking out We went back inside sat down had a few drinks But all he kept talking about was Glory days well they'll pass you by Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye Glory days, glory days Well there's a girl that lives up the block Back in school she could turn all the boy's heads Sometimes on a friday i'll stop by And have a few drinks after she put her kids to bed Her and her husband bobby well they split up I guess it's two years gone by now We just sit around talking about the old times, She says when she feels like crying She starts laughing thinking about My old man worked 20 years on the line And they let him go Now everywhere he goes out looking for work They just tell him that he's too old I was 9 nine years old and he was working at the Metuchen ford plant assembly line Now he just sits on a stool down at the legion hall But i can tell what's on his mind Glory days yeah goin back Glory days aw he ain't never had Glory days, glory days Now i think i'm going down to the well tonight And i'm going to drink till i get my fill And i hope when i get old i don't sit around thinking about it But i probably will Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture A little of the glory of, well time slips away And leaves you with nothing mister but Boring stories of glory days

donhaas 18 Posted May 7, 2007 He said "phag"! Taught me to shoot. "Crank your wrist, like a phag" ... about 1983, junior high. Might have been his exact words. Made my very next shot. And my stepfather is black. It's twue! These days, I could pretend to be gay and sue! Dad is a lawyer. But ... it's actually good advice ... and I'm not gay. I'm a pretty good shot today, too ... because of Lute spending 60 seconds with me. 6 foot, gangly, white boy, with no skills. Phag wrist? I can do that! Wanna play HORSE? I play good D too ... mostly slap balls out of bounds. Can't steal, can't jump high enough to block ... but I wont make it easy. And I got a mean "Turn around jumper" ... with the phag wrist ... I can hit some amazing shots in the paint, when I'm on. And I'd GUARANTEE ... at 37 years old, I'll TOAST ANYONE MY SIZE in the 100 yard dash. Bring another 6 foot 1, 200 pounder ... no chance. My 40 speed is not so great ... but I have never met ANYONE I couldn't run down within a couple hundred yards. No blocks. Never. Nobody. I'm seriously fast, for my size. Serious. Born fast. Always been fast. Woulda made a good DB in the NFL. Can't catch or throw ... but I can hit, and run like the wind. Love to hit. Used to play (flag) DL and I was pretty much unstopable. By the time the OL stopped counting out loud ... I was on the QB. If you actually depended on your OL to stop me ...fuggedaboudit! I'd sack the QB every time. donhaas 18 Posted May 8, 2007 Waiting for Hall and Weeks and sheets to heat up. I'll take 22-10 at this point, though. I'm not a fantasy baseball player, but I imagine Capuano is pretty good.
Snoopy1 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Official thread! Ha! Great 5 games for the team, specially the starting staff. Cappy really put the hammer down a couple of days ago. Funny thing, I still see room for this team to improve. Sheets had a pretty good game the other day, but if he's not injured, then he should be pitching better. Hall still hasn't put it together yet! Snoopy1 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Yeah, too bad I picked Bush instead in the draft. He pitched pretty good last night, cept that he didn't know practice was over when he threw to that first guy.
BMoney 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Bushie is predictable... he struggles in the 1st...if he gets through that...hes solid til he gets to 95 pitches... once he hits that..he loses 2-3 mph and pow...hit all over the yard... ned needs to just get him and not try to have him GET through an inning..there are too many good BP guys to help out there... this season is a prime example of how the brewer 06 season ended last year when hardy slid into home and was hurt..he is the true mvp of this team... btw...remember when..... people feared prince starting after Overbay left? the drop off in D?... prince hasnt been great...he has been outstanding...people see his size and think he is ortiz II...he makes dynamite heads up plays... this 13 of 16 road trip will be a good test coming up.. Snoopy1 0 Posted May 9, 2007 this 13 of 16 road trip will be a good test coming up.. Agreed, will really know how good these kids are after that. Home stand with a 3 game sweep of the Nats...great, but that's what you are supposed to do. I have really high hopes, but if they can get 9 or 10 on this swing, I'll be completely sold.
