KSB2424 3,148 Posted February 28, 2007 Yeah, I know old news, whatever. The only time I ever downloaded music was when Napster was reigning supreme. Besides itunes for ipods is there still a way to download music and burn it on a cd for lets say......free? TIA
NewbieJr 541 Posted February 28, 2007 As Eagles Green said, Limewire is free. The downloads are a little sporatic, at times. It's hit or miss as far as what's available. allofmp3.com is next to free. It costs about eight-twelve cents per song. It is perectly legal, as of now, but the RIAA is threatening a lawsuit (against the company, not the customers). Electric Mayhem 35 Posted February 28, 2007 I'm on the Limewire bandwagon as well. The quality of the tracks can be lacking, but I can't complain considering the 'cost'.

NewbieJr 541 Posted February 28, 2007 Bit torrent I use it, too. I like it a lot, but it annoys me when I'm downloading an album and it stalls around 80% complete and never starts back up again.

cday 0 Posted February 28, 2007 i pay $14.99 a month for rhapsody and their DRM protected music, and am very happy with it beats the hell out of paying 99 cents for itunes tracks, and i don't have the time/willingness to go searching through limewire/BT for actual mp3s and not downloading adware/trojans/mislabeled mp3s, etc. i'd rather pay the $15 and not f'ing bother.
