John Elway is my favorite QB ever and one of my favorite NFL players of all time. I'm looking forward to seeing how Cutler does over the next few years. Don't tell anyone

Too much money. I am all for bringing the local guy back, but not for that loot.

Denver wasn't going to spend the money on anything else. You know Shanny won't get buried in a hole that will force the team to lose all our best players down the road. Who gives a fock if we overpaid? It ain't your money Bowlen is spending.

The Broncos aren't contenders next year anyway. Why not let Scheffler develop? The Broncos bring in an aging beat up RB, trade for a CB who doesn't want to be here and then sign a blocking TE for 15 guarenteed million. I am sensing a trend of bad choices.

This trend goes back to the early 2000's though, so I am not shocked.

You've got to be kidding me. Call Vegas and see what Denver's odds are. They're among the top teams. But thanks for the input.

Going back to 2000, Shanny has picked up pro-bowlers in Bailey and Lynch. Signed Gold away from Tampa. Lauded by just about everyone for sneaking up in the draft last year and grabbing Cutler. Not to mention Dumerville late in the draft. Went to the AFC championship last year.

There are fans of at least 20 NFL teams that would love to have their team managed as well as the Broncos.

You are the epitome of the crapass Denver bandwagon fan - regardless of the sport.

If you think Denver is a contender next year you got to be kidding me. The Broncos have a 2nd year QB who looked pretty raw. The RB situation doesn't look good, our starting back in Travis Henry has missed 14 games in the last three years and the back up Mike Bell is terrible. The WR isn't bad, but not great, a lot will depend on how Brandon Marshall develops. The offensive line needs a lot of work, they have no ability to pass block or get a 3rd and short/goal line situation.

Sorry too many holes for me to think that offense will score enough points to be a contender. In the 2003 and 2004 draft the Broncos only have one player from those two drafts combined. Who might that person be?

Here are the odds from BoDog

Odds to win the 2008 Super Bowl XLII

Thanks for proving my point. There's exactly seven teams with better odds than Denver to win the Super Bowl. There's 32 teams in the NFL. What, exactly, do you consider a contender?

Might want to learn to count again.

1) Baltimore Ravens 14/1

2) Chicago Bears 8/1

3) Cincinnati Bengals 14/1

Dallas Cowboys 15/1

Denver Broncos 15/1

4) Indianapolis Colts 6/1

5) New England Patriots 10/1

New Orleans Saints 15/1

Philadelphia Eagles 15/1

6) Pittsburgh Steelers 10/1

7) San Diego Chargers 6/1

So there are 11 teams that have the same odds as the Broncos or better.

If you believe they are contenders good for you and your optimism. I will expect a 9-7 year with a shot at the 6th spot in the playoffs.

Roethlisberger was only in his 2nd year when the Steelers won

What happened to the rest of my quote?

My counting is fine. Seven teams have better odds than Denver to win the Super Bowl. Learn to read, drink a glass of water, and go to bed.

It is a shame I got that quote in before the edit.

You still proved my point. Only seven teams with a better chance than Denver, per Vegas. If you don't think Denver's a contender, move to Canada, captain bandwagon.
