kozmiq 70 Posted March 9, 2007 It's my dad's best friend's ex-wife. They were married for 8 years and apart the last 3. Yes I've seen them. Yes I spoke with her. She was pretty. All the men loved her. She could only fend off so many. Others made it through. Honestly, I figured I'd nail her if I ever tried. Maybe not. She was pretty. Now she's dead. Goodbye Beth! (if that frigging vuduchile says he knows Beth, he'll need more proof this time!) No big story - just the boring facts.

Blitzen 0 Posted March 10, 2007 Here are the two things you hear at funeral homes that drive me crazy: #1 "She looks so peaceful." Of course she looks peaceful, she is stone cold dead. #2 (Said by relatives you very rarely see) "we should see one another more often" Yep, next time someone else goes stiff. kozmiq 70 Posted March 11, 2007 Well, several magical things happened yesterday at the reception after the church service. The first person I ran into at the front door was a guy I went to High School and who started a Bar in Herndon during the cocaine years. Hadn't seen him in 10 years or so. Then I met Beth's family who I had not met before. Then an old buddy of mine who I've had a rift with for 10-12 years and I decided to drop our disagreement. An old girlfriend of mine who has been angry at me for our breakup for many years decided that she no longer was mad at me. We talked for quite a while. We even danced to a slow song. Very nice. Then later in the evening when the liquor had been flowing freely, I mentioned to someone what my name was. A long haired, bearded guy sitting close by questioned my name and it turned out he was a Little League football player on a team I coached when I was 15 years old. He was 9 at that time. Had not seen him in 20 years. It was a very nice service. Both of Beth's sisters spoke. Her 2 neices spoke. A fellow hospital nurse spoke. And so did several friends. A 3 piece band including a 12 string guitarist played 4 tunes. I'm going to play Golf in a few minutes with several of the people there. It was very nice. Very nice indeed.
