wiffleball 4,790 Posted April 6, 2007 Wow, I can't believe I'm at 17,000 posts. I'm not sure I've done ANYTHING 17,000 times. (furiously mentally calculating how many times he could have possibly jerked-off in the last 25 years....) I did some quick math - when I factor out the year I took off from here & weekend/holidays, I'm averaging about 13 posts a day. Since this is my 60th post today, I'd say that figure might be a little off. This bored has seen me throught a lot. Since I first started posting here (thanks to Bert), I've been through 4 employers (going from Senior, to Manager, to Director), been laid off once, lost my brother, went through a bizarre stretch with a thoroughly bizarre woman, focked a woman in a crowded bar - on my barstood - Yeah, that's pretty much the memorable stuff. - There's prolly more. (at least I hope so...) The good stuff about the Geek Bored? I've met some really quality people - in person. Beyond that, I've probably never been as informed - politically or otherwise - as I have because of this bored. And yeah, some of you guys are some funny fothermuckers. The annoying stuff? - We all know. The rising incidences of slap fights - which sometime yield some hilarity. The use of aliases is just bizarre. I'm pretty sure I'll never understand how insecure, immature and slightly schizo you have to be to invent aliases to 'back-up' your particular POV. It's one of those things that I just don't "get' - and hope I never will. So, Props to each of you who bring hilarity, emotion, insight, discourse and comity.
