RLLD 4,230 Posted May 4, 2007 I think Millen will sign him.
Belushi 9 Posted May 4, 2007 Speculation today on Rotoworld that the Packers will sign him. It would be nice if they used all that cap room to sign somebody.
Parja 0 Posted May 4, 2007 I heard a discussion of Keyshawn on the radio briefly on the drive in this morning. They mentioned the teams that expressed interest in signing him, and the Vikings weren't on the list. WTF?!

famousb 11 Posted May 23, 2007 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2879994 i'd be willing to bet an 18th round flyer that he'd come out of "retirement" if he got an offer from the right team around August... one ACL injury to a #2 WR is all Keyshawn is from un-"retiring"... xenophobe 1 Posted May 23, 2007 Keyshawn has caught 70 balls in each of the past three seasons. In fact, he's caught 70 balls in 9 of his past 10 seasons -every year but one since his rookie season. He's one of the best blocking receivers in the game, and he's willing to go over the middle. These are highly under rated qualities in a wide receiver. He's a move the chains type who's still very capable of helping a team out. I don't see him remaining retired for long.
Jeremy 0 Posted May 23, 2007 Not too shocking. When he made that statement about not playing for amounts up to 2.5 million bucks, he pretty much annouced his retirement right there.

The guy always thought he was better than he actually was though .However, there are a LOT of receivers who can't put that down on their resumes. Never really spectacular, but always pretty good. I guess I could see him "unretiring" if a contender makes an offer to him. I thought I read somewhere that he'd play for $4 million a year, which is pretty reasonable for what he could bring, and shows that he isn't looking for a payday. Who knows, NE seems to love wr's that are in love with themselves and annoy teammates. At least Keyshawn typically plays 16 full games.
larrymcirish 0 Posted May 23, 2007 anybody hear what the titans offered him? "retirement" = "hey, i was serious. it has to be over $2.5m. stop screwing around and somebody pony up."
xenophobe 1 Posted May 23, 2007 Agreed. The guy always thought he was better than he actually was though Agreed. He can't stop talking about himself either. But he can be a productive asset to a team, even today.
The Moose 0 Posted May 23, 2007 I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bills uni for around $3M-$4M. We have the cap space, and some WR depth is definitely needed. Lee Evans is more of a deep threat/big play guy; the Bills still lack a guy like Keyshawn that provides a big, reliable target for Losman when he needs to move the chains. Sho Nuff 720 Posted May 23, 2007 $3 mil or so is about right for him. And would like that for the Packers...as I have said before. He would make them somewhat forget about not having a good TE as he can take over that possession role of getting the 7-9 yards in the middle of the field. FantasyKing 4 Posted May 23, 2007 Just heard it on ESPN radio...appears to be true. I wouldnt be dancing kutulu - now we have to hear him speak.
Jeremy 0 Posted May 24, 2007 The Titans supposedly offered him a 2 year deal worth almost 8 million. He wanted 2 years, 12 million.
Sho Nuff 720 Posted May 24, 2007 The Titans supposedly offered him a 2 year deal worth almost 8 million. He wanted 2 years, 12 million. Yup...and according to everything I have read, most of the 8 mil that TENN offered was guaranteed. That guy is not worth any more than 3-4 mil per year. 2 years 12? Hah!!!!
