Recommended Posts

You're gonna collect 3,500 cans and get a tv from

Best Buy? When did they start accepting cans?

I always thought LCD TV's were much better for gameplay.

I think that used to be the case when plasmas still had an issue w/images being 'burned' into the screen. This was an issue for video games b/c so many games have static images (like a HUD display) that are in the same spot on the screen for as many hours as you play. I believe that this is no longer an issue w/plasmas.

From what I understand, one of the biggest reasons to favor LCD over plasma is glare/refelction, as the materials for LCDs handle that sort of thing better.

Also, Sanders, before you plunk down for NHL08, you might want to give NHL2K8 a spin too. I've been reading good things about it, so I plan on trying both out (I am a Ggamefly member, but you can always rent at Blockbuster) before I choose to buy one or the other.

I agree but I will probably buy NHL08 first anyway. I have seen a lot of videos on it and I am dying to try the stick controls. I have always liked the EA game better. I tried last years NHL2K7 game and thought it was pretty damn good so I will give 2K8 a try as well.

For plasmas you have to resist static images for the first 100 hours to allow the phosphorus to cure. I am getting a DVD that you are supposed to run for the first few days that will get the plasma through this phase.

I have also read that Madden and NHL08 will be running at 60 frames per second on the 360 and only 30 frames per second on the PS3. Another reason to get an Xbox.

Are there any Circuit City stores still up in Canada? If not, have them price match Circuit's Website. They've got it up right now for $2999.99.

G0ddamn it depresses me to think that 96 cents equals a canadian dollar right now. Remember the days when canadian dollars were like monopoly money? No more, THANKS TO PRESIDENT F0CKTARD AND HIS ECONOMIC POLICIES. Sh!t. Sh!t, sh!t, sh!t.

This just means we can export more to Canada. Hope that helps. Need more information, I am sure there is a macro economics class available in some high school close to you.
