Is anyone else having trouble getting Yahoo gamechannel to load for them this year for college football? So far, I haven't cracked the code any day this year. It sucks. I have to keep going to ESPN. Sigh.

I had to switch over to Internet Explorer. For some reason, it won't work with Firefox.

NCAA 10-7-1 (+7.4 units)

 

TexTech/SMU over 30 1st Half (1 unit)

Tex Tech -4.5 1st Half (1 unit)

SMU +290 ($5 play <----which is 20% of a unit)

 

Clemson +1.5 1st Half (1 unit)

Clemson +4 (1 unit)

Clemson +145 ($5 play <------ which is 20% of a unit)

Clemson/FSU over 23 1st Half (half unit)

 

Well that was a waste of the first half. Had the right plays though IMO so 1-1 isn't so bad. The SMU bet is kind of a stretch. Just felt like wasting a 5 spot.

 

Did someone say Dr. Bob? Has he posted here in the last 4 years? Nope. I don't really like the over/under for the game but for some reason thought there might be a fast start to the game. Maybe a reverse or two or some other BS plays out of the gate.

 

I guess my day rests upon Clemson. Which I should point out is one of the GREATEST places to tailgate in the world. It is a great time!

Took SMU +3 for the 2nd half. That gives me SMU +18 for the game, twice as many points as the original line. Guess I can root for no points in the 2nd half and that would be an automatic win!

That is why I said my money was in the right places for the first half. That one should of went over and since when does Tech milk the clock on a drive like they did. I am staying off the second half, but that being said. I think SMU will throw in the towel and lose the second half as well. Tech will, like they always do keep trying to run up the score. I will rest my day on Clemson.

This FSU/Clemson game is a tough one. You'd think FSU would be out for some revenge here from last year. And with 2 good defenses, how can 44.5 UNDER be a bad pick? The spread is now FSU -4

 

I like FSU, but an intangible I kind of worry about is that this is a high profile game, and it's the only game on and it's Monday night. That usually spells trouble for the favorite. I think this game will be highly bet on, so that worries me taking FSU. But that has nothing to do with what's on football field especially if the game is played straight. Bouve mentioned 4 of last year's starting lineman out for Clemson. That seems like a reason for concern, right?

Clemson's main source of attack is the run and that won't change with an inexperienced QB starting. Their RBs are solid but can this over hauled OL open holes aganist a solid front of FSU? Thats where the game is going to be won and I think FSU can shut down the run and their offence/special teams will do enough to win a low scoring game.

I will just add my two cents. Clemson has 2 outstanding running backs coming back and a rebuilt offensive line that is suppose to be pretty good based off of the offseason. They have a new offensive guy running the show there and I guess they expect to be improved. This game is at Clemson which has always been a tough place to go.

 

Another thing is that FSU is "settling" at quarterback meaning two guys will most likely play. The Old Man Bowden hired some new coordinators and I think they could make a difference as last year FSU seemed to be outcoached and didn't take many chances during games.

 

From a gambling perspective I usually like scoresandodds and their leans and they are predicting Clemson to win by 3. So getting 4 at home I like those odds the best. And could easily see a FG deciding this game.
