Before week 1 has even started, BOTH of these guys have been getting a lot of hype, especially with the recent news of Jennings' hammy acting up in Green Bay.

 

So which one of these guys is in the best position to put up the better numbers this season?

Very tough Call... I like Jacobey just a tad more, as jennings will steal some thunder, but then again GB has no TE to steal catches like in Hou with O. daniels.

 

If possible snag both...best advice i could give!

I think both will be good. If your league counts return yard than Jacoby is a no brainer otherwsie a toss up.

 

My opinion would be James now that I hear Jennings has a hammy problem to go along with Drivers foot (which is better but not 100%). Farve makes these guys stars. Driver , Jennings etc.

on a local radio show, MM just mentioned JJ might get return duty tonight . Prolly not long term i am assuming its due to blackman's thumb injury.

They are going to work him in during Week 1, but they have already admitted they won't be able to keep him off the field. Kubiak had him at "2 1/2" a couple of weeks ago. He will be #2 after Week 1 for sure.

Depends on your league settings as was mentioned above - he will be returning kicks. I'd probably start him over any WR2 with a bad-mediocre QB or worse. OAK WR's, KC's WR's, Jax WR's, etc.

I grabbed Jacoby Jones with the 13th pick, and I think there is a lot of potential there. Obviuosly, you need to keep expectations in check for a rookie WR, but it is also obviuos that the kid has skills. In the 13th I guess you could grab another vanilla #3 wideout for an established team, but you know what you're getting there. Why not take a chance on a rook and hope you hit paydirt? If you do, you have a potential starter, not just a potential bye week filler. Go Jacoby!

And last year they were saying COlston was the next Boldin (and they were ridiculed) and you know what they were right. And One of these Jones might be the next colston , totally can happen.

Well, sure, it CAN happen, but more often than not, it DOESN'T happen. For every time one hot preseason player turned into a Moss or Boldin or Colston, an infinitely larger number of times they turn into the next Nobody. Some here are hopeful they will be great, and I imagine their opinion is more based on hope because they grabbed them off of waivers. I personally don't see any reason to believe either of them will amount to much. That is my opinion and nothing more. My intent was to be honest, not to offend. Hopefully you all are correct. I just think we usually end up disappointed when we conveniently forget that most times The Next Big Thing ends up being the Next Big Benchwarmer.

I should have added it goes both ways, I rememebr the Kearey Colbert and Darriius Watts hype 2 years ago. Colbert might be starting soon but Watts is out of football far as i know. That did not pan out well. There were people drafting them as there #2 reciever. sometimes the hype on rooks gets out fo control. But in leagues with 12 and 14 teams guys like the Jones's are worth taking a gamble on. I took a gamble last year and drafted Colston and help me make the playoffs. He was my best reciever and I got him in the last round. So you never know.
