Report: Cowboys WR Glenn done for season

Recommended Posts

Crayton has full plate

Patrick Crayton is now a starting receiver, probably for the rest of the season. He's also the Cowboys' punt returner. And the emergency QB.

"Patrick Crayton is very dependable, a heady player who will be in the right place," Wade Phillips said.

But he doesn't have anything close to Terry Glenn's blazing speed. That makes it that much easier for opponents to double T.O.

"I would say they’re going to lean more towards Terrell and try to make the other guys beat you," said Phillips, adding that the Cowboys will move T.O. around to find ways to get him one-on-one. "But the other guy might beat them, too."

I'll be back with much, much more after an hour in the locker room.

Who's the better WR, Crayton or Berrian?

berrian. all this means is that TO will probably get a few more looks and a few more TD's this year. good job to those who got TO.

I'm reluctant to predict his value over the season, but he makes a nice start for week 1. I'm actually considering starting him over Housh given matchup/mild injury concerns...someone pls tell me I'm not crazy...

Glenn has to decide between knee operations

Todd Archer reports that there's a chance that Terry Glenn might be able to play this season if he decides to have arthroscopic surgery again on his right knee. But there is no guarantee that would fix the cartilage problem, which flared up after Glenn practiced Wednesday.

Glenn might need to have micro-fracture surgery, which would mean that he'd face a long rehab process. That must be a frightening thought for a 33-year-old receiver.

I had Terry Glenn in two of my leagues, dropped him in one and picked up Crayton. In the other I own both Glenn and Crayton so the damage to my teams is minimal at best. Just waiting for the word, so I can drop Glenn in my pay league and pick up another WR off the waiver wire. It was good while it lasted Terry, you were one of my favorite Cowboy players. You will be missed and I appreciated the two quality years you have given me the past two seasons.

R.I.P. Glenn ;)

Latest from Rotoworld:

Sep. 8 - 9:31 am et

Terry Glenn tells ESPN's Ed Werder that he's leaning towards having arthroscopic knee surgery rather than a microfracture procedure.

This would give him a chance to play again this season, but comes with no guarantees. Glenn had his first knee scope of the fall just over a month ago and that couldn't cure his problems. "I'm really leaning toward taking the (damaged) piece out and trying to play this year," Glenn told Werder, "even though I'm risking the rest of my career by doing that."
