Here's what bothers me about the Patriots cheating....

Recommended Posts

At least we all KNOW how the Pats beat the Colts those previous years. We all knew the Colts were the better team the 3 years the Pats won the Superbowls and everyone thought Manning just couldn't win the big game.

The Colts were a better team in 2001 when they were 6-10?

OK. I will admit that I was wrong on THAT year about the Colts being better than New England. The Rams were much better that year than the Cheating Pats.

the video cameras were to get defensive signals. So it had no effect on Manning. You aren't going to win many AFC championships when your offense can only muster 3 points.

Maybe it helped them in some games before but I doubt it helped against the Jets. Mangini knew about this stuff so obviously he was going to take precautions with his signaling. I'm not sure how much it helped in other games either. If it was supposively widely known that the Pats did this stuff then teams would take precautions. Part of the reason for doing it was probably gamesmanship. Teams would be worried about the patriots taping them so it would just be another thing that they had to worry about. The Pats and Belichick definitely showed some arrogance by continuing it after they were told not to.

Then why do it?

Oh yeah....my bad. They did it for "gamesmanship"

How beautiful. You guys get busted for cheating and are now defending it. Typical Boston fans.

Just wait for the inevitable interviews on Sunday where, after the Pats beat the Chargers, the players all say that they felt "disrespected" that everyone thinks that they are winners because of "cheating", when they are really "players" who "make plays". I can just imagine Belichick spinning it that way right now...

The Pats are cheats and apparently have been for years now.

Peyton played defense? :overhead:

The thing that riles me the most is that they have that minuteman guy on the side of their helmet which represents America, so people are going to think all Americans are cheaters.

:overhead:

Why do the Patriots love the terrorists?

Now it's confirmed. You are a dope. Nobody booed when the QB got hurt. Link? Of course...you don't have one cause it's not true.

Beside the NY Daily News and several other local papers, here is something from Sports Illustrated:

5. I think the easiest thing this morning is to rip the tar out of Jets fans for cheering when Chad Pennington got hurt. Let me join the chorus. What a sickening, shameful display.

You are right, they did not boo. That was a typo. They CHEERED that he was hurt which is far more dispicable.

But you asked for a link, here is one from a NJ paper:
