It's supposed to be about 2 or 3% of your bankroll. So a unit for you would be about 25 bucks.

 

For me, a unit in CFL and college football is 100 bucks. My bankroll is significantly higher than the math that I just used, but that is the total I feel comfortable with per unit. Especially considering the amount of games I play.

 

It's all about comfort level. And to stay in the game if you are going through a cold streak. I also try to keep most of my bets between 1 and 3 units, while others prefer to bet the same amount on every game. Again, it's about comfort level.

ya thanks alot. I play alot of poker and bankroll mngmt seems pretty similar. You never ever want to have more than 5% of your BR at risk, and usually only about 3%. So yea, i guess its really the same. Thanks alot.

Lets talk about the games tonight fellas...

 

I've got 2 units - BSU -11 over 50

 

Things are looking great here in Boise guys...weathers amazing, fans are gonna be nuts, my uncle just found out he has an 85% chance to rid himself of his cancer entirely...hes gonna be at the game. This is just a damn good day to be a BSU fan and considering were on National TV...the guys are gonna bring their A-game.

 

Ok so I know thats an awful analysis but I tend to go with my gut and superstition more so than the #'s. I'm thinkin BSU pounds them tonight...they're in the spotlight and if they want any chance to achieve their goals this year they MUST perform tonight. Its a must win and they come out firing. Bet on it.

Edit: Atrocious defense by the Brewers. 5 errors, and just a lacksadaisical attitude by the Brewers. I sure didn't see this coming. A complete nightmare of a game. The game isn't even all the way over and it's 9-2 Padres. This was maybe the one chance the Brewers had to gain on the Cubs before the season end. They lost yesterday and missed their chance so I thought they'd bounce back with the rookie pitcher tonight. They choked and I completely gauged them wrong. They're young, they choke, and they aren't worth any more time.

Did you take the points or $ line with So Miss philly? You might be alright if u got it at 11+...BSU quit playin in the 4th qtr last week at home an let Wyoming get within 10 which nullified the 12 pt spread...they could very well do it again.

Maybe I'm chasing, but Ark St had some bad luck in the 1st H. Memphis played a perfect half on offense, and that just can't keep up. And they returned an 86 yard fumble for a TD on top of it. Law of averages. 3rd game in 11 days for Memphis, so you figure they have to run out of gas at some point.

Ditka, UTEP has major injury issues, among them both starting corners are out. SMU has gotten much healthier. They really need this game for their coach, who is on the hot seat, and outplayed TCU last week despite the final score.

I leaned on Indiana but am not sure about them after Illinois. I am also leaning Penn State but haven't played that one yet. Might stay away. Love the Nevada pick. I really like UTEP to pull the small upset on SMU though.

 

I just posted on SMU. Lot's of line value with an improved Indiana team, despite last week's loss. Actually, that loss gives them more value to the line. Iowa has major, major problems on offense, and has a letdown potential after the close game vs Wisconsin last week.

 

Nevada huge rivalry game, dominant home field ATS, and their offense has actually looked good after debacle vs Nebraska in first game. UNLV overrated after close call vs Wisconsin and beating an injured Utah team, both at home. On road, they had to come from behind to beat awful Utah St team.

Comeon, greyhounds, are you paying attention this year. I went two weeks without losing an NCAA or CFL game for 2 straight weeks, until last week, when I went 2-2 and still picked up money. The weekday games have added to my bankroll greatly this year, going into tonight. I like the games because they are the only games to concentrate on, and you can research them thoroughly. I might drop 9 units tonight, but I did my homework, win or lose.

Hell, just look at the abuse Bouve put up with when he posted his NFL picks a few years ago. The whole site was bashing him, after he said he would go 75% in the NFL,and uh...didn't get there. That was very ambitious, and maybe he overstated his confidence, but he put his ass on the line, and he really didn't deserve all the hate. I appreciate his balls. No homo.

I rarely play Bob's Strong Opinions...Only Best Bets and also Bob has been in a slump. I also play a Guy named Sebastion ( SeaBass )..very good as well as Wilosky Milan who is 142-78 last 220 Plays

2nd half over in the Boise St. game is 24.5. Something seems fishy with that total. Thought it would be in the 30s considering Boise needs to score a lot to get back in the Top 25 and So. Miss is probably good for a garbage score or two.

I don't see any reason why So Miss can't at least trade scores with Boise St in the 2nd Half. The So Miss passing offense looks decent, and finally Fletcher is running a bit for So Miss. Why the hell not?

Im tellin you guys right now...LOCK of the week is Alabama .vs. FSU...and I am a FSU fan!!! Take the +2 while it lasts guys. Its absurd!!! Saban does NOT do well with losing, especially close losses like last week. Those players are showing up at Doak Campbell Stadium and their D is going to dominate. FSU will turn the ball over atleast 2 times and never catch back up.

 

Because I am new to this forum I'm sure you guys wont give me much respect...so ill start posting my lock of the week...after some success perhaps ill start giving more insight on games. This one is a sure bet!

I played a small in game bet So. Miss +30, I couldnt believe the line got that high. +22 should be an easy cover with So. Miss getting the ball to start the 2nd half

Philly...I have to respectfully disagree man. BSU's special teams and DEF have been playing fantastic tonight. THey let up at the end of the 1st half for that TD. Werent getting pressure on Young. The problem is BSU took out So Misses rushing attack early in the game and thats their strength...I just don't see them keeping up. BSU tends to lighten up in the 2nd half but I dont see So Miss keeping stride in the 2nd half...however they ARE on the 50 as i speak
