Chris Johnson rb

Recommended Posts

how many touches you think he will get? Also I noticed hes listed on the depth chart for KR, is he the guy or is he the backup?

I really liked this kid in the preseason, and right now I have him in my flex, Im just not too sure about touches and against JVille. Also its a PPR league and I assume he is the 3rd down back as well

i hope that u arent starting brandon marshall as stated in ur team roster.

go pick up kevin walter if u can, he'll have a game

oh and by the way chris johnson will soon be the #1 over there as lenwhale has eaten a stingray (or 12) and cannot run anymore

I like the matchup for Chris Johnson

The Jags defense is full of space eaters who are very physical. That is more conducive to a quick back instead of a pounder like Lendale White.

Last year in the season opener Chris Brown of the Titans torched the Jags for 175 yards. (White had 66)

When Brown was injured in the 2nd game last year White finished with 12 yards rushing on 8 carries..

White works better on small quick defenses like Indy

Speed and Chris Johnson should work better on big and slow defenses like the Jags.

Good Luck

Its too much of a toss up and against a good defense. I think they will try to get him the ball, and yes, i have him on my team as a 3rd rb, but i will be surprised if he lives up to all the hype this early....give him some time.

This is what Ive been thinking. Fisher says that touches will be distributed based on matchup. This matchup favors Johnson. I think he should get 12-15 carries and 4 or 5 receptions.

Really thinking about rolling the dice with him in the flex.

In the typical 10-team league he is not worth a start yet.

Pros:

Agreed, good matchup defensively

Cons:

1st game ever; this will be in the bottom 1/4 percentile game for touches in my opinion

Lendale still the entrenched starter

Not likely a high scoring game (even for TN). They have around a 50% chance of scoring only 1 TD today.

So I'd wait a week or two in most leagues. However, in my 16 team league (so 32 deep at RB); he is starting as my #2 RB today.

I'll guess 10 carries and maybe 4 passes thrown his way, just because I think the Jags will pull away early because VY looks awful right now

Johnson got the start and had a 18 yard run already.

I rolled the dice and went with him in the flex over MJD and Ricky.

So far so good.

I've noticed his stats look solid so far and Lenwhale's are non-existent. I can't get the game. Are they rolling with Johnson while he's hot, or is White getting chances too, but not doing anything with his opportunities???? :dunno:

Enquiring minds (read: owners) want to know.

They're going almost exclusively with Johnson. Fisher said that he would play whichever back fit the matchup and gameplan for a given week. And its obviously Johnson this week.

And people thought I was crazy for starting this guy over MJD and Ricky.

SO FAR SO GOOD!

I could see starting him over Ricky, but that's gutsy giving him the nod over MJD.. :pointstosky:

We only start 2 rbs with no flex in my league, so I have him stashed behind Gore and Selvin this week. Looks like I'm going to have to pay a bunch of attention to his match-up week in/week out and he might be starting more than I thought over Selvin.

At least I have the option :overhead:
