where did you get your league trophy?

need to get a trophy for my league. don't want to cut too much into the winnings (using league fees for the trophy) so don't really want to spend more than 70 or 80..

 

just want something simple with a wood base for yearly winner plates, maybe a name plate on the front with the league name and a cup or football on top...

 

anyone have any good sites, the ones i have seen are just so damned expensive.

I just went to a local trophy shop, and chose my own set up. 8" football player on top of a marble block (marble was actually cheaper than wood) with the league name on a plate on the front, and the 2 sides have space for Champion team names. $30 is all it cost.

I also found it a lot cheaper at a local mom and pop trophy shop. It is this trophy ...but I got it for less that half of that price.

Trophy Cup from Things Remembered. Every season, we engrave a new year and a new winner. I think they quit selling the one my league uses which is a shinier chrome.

great ideas guys.. i think ill try looking for a local trophy shop. i really have not found anything on ebay or any websites that looks goo and is under 100.

 

the trophy cup idea isn't bad either but i think id rather have a legit trophy than a silver mug like that

A bunch of us from my main league started a new Dynasty league and since we get a really big trophy from the main league ( http://www.awardsco.com/store/item.asp?ITE...PARTMENT_ID=143 ) that we pass around from winner to winner each year (with the champs team name engraved, etc), we decided to go a differt direction for the Dynasty league...an individual trophy for the winner each year that he can keep.

One year the winner was working where Tom Brady was doing a photo shoot. He asked if he should get Brady to sign it.

How did I get ripped? Mine was cheaper, and has a solid marble base. I do agree about supporting your locals.

yeah im gonna stop by a local place soon and see what i can get..

 

another option i have found is getitng the pieces seperately and then maybe taking it to a local shop just for the engraving/assembly...

 

alot of the fully assembled trophies on the internet sell for 65-120 but you can buy individual wood bases for 15 dollars and the usual 8 inch resin or metal football guys for 17. still more than you guys have been saying but just another thought especially if you want added customization.
