bigshooter757 0 Posted October 10, 2008 If your looking to make some moves in your league, who are some guys that are performing under thier expectations but are looking to turn it around? Maybe some guys that have been out for injuries... Colston? Shockey? LT? Any thoughts??

ivan852 0 Posted October 10, 2008 Marshawn LynchPeyton Manning Kellen Winslow Marvin Harrison Roy Williams Randy Moss I don't think Winslow or Williams would be a great buy no matter what this season, unless Williams get's traded. Lynch and Harrison are good buy lows, Willie Parker & Larry Johnson also. I think people are going to hold on to Colston and see how he does the next couple of games. jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 10, 2008 Tom Brady First, you're aware he had surgery ON MONDAY right??? Second, you're aware that Carson Palmer has, in my opinion, never been the same QB after having his knee similarly shreded. Lastly, shut rookie...if you're gonna post, try and make sure you contribute something. There are way too many people like you posting here these days. Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted October 10, 2008 Buy low? Every single Bengal. You could probably get CJ for a bye week defense right now. Trust me, I own him.

Same here - my entire can be had on the cheap right now: CJ, MJD, Big Ben, Hass, TJones, KSmith - hell, even Boldin! Not sure what he'll be like upon his return. Belushi 9 Posted October 10, 2008 I really think MJD is a great buy low now. He's done nothing to this point, but will be getting a couple of O-linemen back in the next few weeks, and the schedule eases up a bit. You can probably get him fairly cheap right now too. He catches the ball and gets goal-line carries. Once the running game gets going, he'll be a great acquisition. All that talent from the last few years didn't just disappear. Not sure what he'll be like upon his return. Interesting. I also have Boldin and MJD and I'm not selling either. Someone tried to lowball me for Boldin but I believe this guy's tough enough to come back with the same attitude he's always had. And MJD is a hold for sure. He has some nice matchups coming and I think he could be solid in the 2nd half. After the week 7 bye Jax will have 2 linemen back....One being guard Naeole, a Jag's vet who was brought back after the injuries to both guards in the Tennessee game. The other, and more important one, is Meester the center who makes that run offense go from what I've read. Don't sell MJD low right now.

murf74 461 Posted October 10, 2008 Some Lynch owners (not me) are probably getting a little trigger happy after 2 bad games and the buy week this week....throw out an offer and you may be pleasantly surprised.

It's been a long time since I started 1-4! I did try to package Ocho, Ben & MJD for BMarshall and Palmer b/4 last week's games but no luck. The guy is really hurting at QB (Palmer & Kitna), but the fish weren't bitin'. MJD should have a decent game this week at Denver and beyond with help on the o-line. Hope you're right about Boldin, but that was a brutal collision - you just never know how a player will react after that type of incident. Hopefully Breaston puts up some decent numbers this week and Boldin comes back strong after the bye.

You really think Lynch will produce better ? I have Barber and Chris Johnson and was looking to posibbly move Lynch to help QB situation just in case Brees goes down.Bad idea ? sorourke 0 Posted October 11, 2008 I might add Santonio Holmes here. Yes, Pittsburgh has a tough schedule, but last year's performance suggested that Holmes could be a top 10-20 WR this year. So far, he's the 36th ranked WR by our points system. I don't think he'll stay that low. I just traded for him and I'm expecting him to bounce-back a little after the bye. madd futher mucker 36 Posted October 12, 2008 "Buy Low" means NOTHING fi you don't have a reasonable expectation of getting future value. NONE of the Cin players are great "buy low" candidates. Here's who I would target: 1. MJD - pancacke schedule the rest of the way out............none of the basics have changed from last year....... nothing wrong with him or his offense. 2 T Jones - A reasonable value play - he too has an easy schedule going forward. 3. LT - ONLY if you are leading your league right now. In my only league that i have al losing record (best 1-4 team on the planet) I traded him away along with Ocho, Favre, and De Jax for Addai, Jennings, T Gonzo, and TB defense. LT could come up HUGE down the stretch IF he rests his turf toe - his bye week will help but I'd have liked for him to have taken a 3 week vacation to get it healed. So If you are leading your league, trade for him from an owner who is 2-3 or 1-4. Trust me, LT is probably the main reason their team sucks right now and they cannot afford to wait for him to get better.
granta_05 3 Posted October 12, 2008 What about Braylon Edwards? He was just dropped in one of my leagues.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted October 12, 2008 If he was DROPPED, he's really not a 'buy-low' he's an automatic pick-up. How big is your league? I can't imagine anyone dropping him.

The guy that dropped him is not what you would call FF-savvy.
AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted October 12, 2008 What about Braylon Edwards? He was just dropped in one of my leagues. Depending on who you have on your bench (who would you be dropping to pick him up) and how well your WRs stack up, I would pick him up. I think he's worth ONE more shot. Actually, Brady might be someone to target in a dynasty or keeper league. The risks associated with his injury contribute to the "buy low" opportunity.
