Bgards79 0 Posted October 22, 2008 Must win this week to keep pace with two other teams for a playoff spot and possible 1st round bye. I am 5-2 with two other teams and facing a 2-5 team so a loss this week would certainly hurt. QB - (1pt/25 yds, 6 pts TD, 3 pt bonus @ 300 yds, -2 for turnovers) Ben vs. NYG Delhomme vs. Zona (I am thinking Jake is the better play here even though Ben has been solid of late) RB - (1 pt/10 yds, 6 pt TD, 3 pt bonus @ 100 yds) Westy/Buck will be starting in one slot then it's one of these 3: Jacobs vs. Pitt (my usual #2 RB but a tough matchup this week) LenDale vs. Indy (great matchup but possible let down week after such a high?) Rhodes vs. Tenn (tough matchup but Peyton could do enough to get him goaline TD. Had 75 & TD vs Balt) WR - (same scoring as RB) Fitz and T.O. starting, Marshall on bye so I need one: Randal El vs. Detroit ( Not a fantasy stud by any means, but love the matchup) D. Avery (Would have to get him off the F.A. Wire, starting to really shine) Engram (No Hass to me means no Engram) Thanks Guys!!
Pdogg81 0 Posted October 22, 2008 Delhomme - could be a shootout vs ARZ Jacobs - he still gets good yardage and chances to score vs good defenses Randle El - not exciting, but slightly safer than the other choices, and great matchup
dtskds 0 Posted October 22, 2008 QB I would go with Delhomme he seems to have the the better matchup this week. RB Jacobs has been to well to sit. WR Randal El I think that the matchup is to good to pass up. Thank for answering mine.

gram 0 Posted October 23, 2008 qb:delhome rb: lendale(horrible rund) wr: avery if you cant get him if not...ouch...id go engram thanks for mine
Neil B. Forme 0 Posted October 23, 2008 At QB I think Delhomme At RB you gotta give White another shot after the week he had. Plus, Indy can't stop the run At WR it is really between Avery and Randle-El. I look at it like this: Avery has the "home run" possibilty, but he could also put up nothing. Randle-El is safer, but with limited upside. I would go Randle-El against Detroit. Let's face it, The Rams are a different team on the road and outdoors. swashbuckler 0 Posted October 23, 2008 Delhomme - should be able to get a couple scores against suspect D Jacobs - Will have to be a big part of the O to put points on the board Randal El - they're playin' DET...'nough said payback?
sabreboy77 1 Posted October 23, 2008 I agree with swashbuckler.
Bgards79 0 Posted October 23, 2008 Plus, Indy can't stop the run Yeah I know but I thought the same thing 2 weeks ago when I decided to give LeRon McClain the start over Buckhalter because Baltimore was playing Indy. McClain got me -2 and Buck got I think 28 on my bench.

Avery (Would have to get him off the F.A. Wire, starting to really shine) Engram (No Hass to me means no Engram) Thanks Guys!! QB - I am partial to Jake for same reasons. RB - I think it is between Jacobs and White. Jacobs avgs 16 carries/game, White 13, so touches are about equal. Given that, I'd go with White since Indy's D has given up more RB TDs this year (6 v. PIT's 3). Besides, NYG can score through the air, TEN not so much. WR - Randle has been targeted quite frequently, but Avery and Bulger are connecting on big gainers. If you are a dice-roller, I'd go with Avery. If you want something with better odds, I'd go with Randle. NE's D could stiffen up at any time and put a Cover-2 crunch on Avery and he'll either get a 60-yd TD or nothing, whereas DET D is consistently average-to-bad. I'd roll the dice, but you couldn't feel bad about Randle El the day after. Good Luck

Delhomme (Big Ben will be attacked and attacked and attacked) Ugh, your RBs all have tough weeks. I don't see LenDale doing what he did last week, but he will get goal-line carries for TDs. Go LenDale. I'd go R. El...he's gonna be Campbell's boy. I'd still wait on Avery, he's had a couple good weeks, but I'm still not sold. You might wanna WW him if you have a spot to hold onto him so no one else gets him, though. Bgards79 0 Posted October 23, 2008 Sweet, 4 votes for Jacobs and 4 for White
Big Turf Toe 0 Posted October 23, 2008 I like Delhomme, Lendale over Jacobs vs Pitts D, and Avery. I live in the STL and the coaching staff is really liking the guy. Thanks for answering mine!
Diggler 0 Posted October 23, 2008 I like Jake, Lendale against the horrible Indy D, and Avery who looks like the true #1 in STL lately.
Gabriel Balcavienga 0 Posted October 23, 2008 delhomme - car at home no questions asked rhodes - call me crazy but i have a feeling about indy this week avery - by default really, i dont think washington will need to throw much so randle-el not likely to do much whereas Avery getting into the mix on the "new" rams good luck
Bgards79 0 Posted October 23, 2008 i dont think washington will need to throw much so randle-el not likely to do much You're right that they won't "need" to, but nobody needs to against this team however they still do because it is fun to pad your QB's stats. dmleonard 0 Posted October 23, 2008 I say Jake, Jacobs, and Avery. The Was vs. Det matchup is juicy, but I think Portis benefits the most from this one.

Bgards79 0 Posted October 23, 2008 LOL, now Randal El and Avery are tied with 7 votes. Also, I would have to drop someone for Avery..Probably Engram.
cooolbreeze 0 Posted October 23, 2008 I would have no problem dropping Engram for Avery at this point. I would go with Lendale and Delhomme. I don't think you can count on the GMen running the ball with much success this week.
bighp2002 0 Posted October 23, 2008 I like: Delhomme, Lendale and go get Avery quick!!! thx for mine
jdibella 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Go with Delhomme vs. a weak ARZ secondary, LenDale vs. a horrible Indy run defense and Avery against a injured NE secondary. Thanks for answering mine!
Bgards79 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Go with Delhomme vs. a weak ARZ secondary, LenDale vs. a horrible Indy run defense and Avery against a injured NE secondary. Thanks for answering mine! I am suprised that more don't think that Randal El against Detroit is a matchup worth taking a chance on. Is this based mainly on a prediction of the game being more about Clinton Portis? We Tigers 71 Posted October 24, 2008 Joining the echo chamber to say Delhomme. Pitt's line against the NYG pass rush? Not happy times for Ben. White vs. Jacobs...tough call. Jacobs and Lendale have both been playing great, and Lendale has at least 1 TD against every opponent except for Baltimore. They're getting about the same number of carries. I'm giving a slight boost to Lendale because of the matchup, and because of the fact that Tennessee is absolutely a run-first team. The Giants do have the #1 rushing offense in the league, but a lot of that is garbage time yardage to Bradshaw and Ward. Either would be a fine start. Avery vs. Randle El...Engram is not a factor and I'm probably dropping him for Pierre Thomas this week, given how disastrous Seattle is right now. I see Randle El getting 4-6 catches and decent yardage, and Avery being more of a home run threat. Randle El if you just need to make sure you get 6-7 points out of your WR here...Avery if you could use a kick and a bigger chance to score. Love the matchup against Detroit, but there are a lot of playmakers on Washington (Portis, Moss, Cooley) who'll be gunning for the same scoring opportunities. Bgards79 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Well I just lost Avery to a higher bid from another owner so that takes care of that dilema.
