mtsueclipse 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Why is it that on espn.com if you are looking at the defensive stats: passing yards and receiving yards are different? Shouldn't these two numbers be exactly the same or am i just missing something? If anyone knows please fill me in?

RaiderHaters Revenge 3,610 Posted October 26, 2008 Passing yards are receiving yards- sack yards. at the end of each game look at team passing yards allowed and you will see that they are always different then the QB's passing yards. that is cause sacks are factored in. Rec yards arent effected by sacks
Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted October 26, 2008 If I had to guess, Pass yards = Receiving yards - Sack yards. Now please stop bumping this abortion of a thread. ETA - didn't see RaiderHater's reply.
