hawk82 0 Posted November 7, 2008 Doesn't sound serious if he's trying to "run it off" on the sidelines. I bet the kid is scared more than anything... lots of money on the line and an injury has already cost him half of his first season. Hopefully he comes back after the half. Give him the needle if it eases his mind. Did you see him running on the sideline? I didn't hear them talking about it.
16 and 33 0 Posted November 7, 2008 They didn't talk about it on NFLN, but on the live internet feed they said Torain was jogging on the sidelines but noticable limping/favoring his left leg, looks like a knee. I'm guessing a sprain. Return questionable.
Jazlizard 0 Posted November 7, 2008 (edited) Yes it was off the live feed from NFL.com, I'd guess if he doesn't come back in after half time, then he probably wont return. Either way I'd suspect a lot of folks are o.k. with having gotten 'only' 12 or so points from the guy in less then a half worth of play. Edit: They just reported that he is now out for the game. hawk82 0 Posted November 7, 2008 Yeah, I read on the Broncos chatroom that someone actually heard him scream. I hope the kid is O.K. Could care less if he's on my FF Team. Tough luck.
AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted November 7, 2008 Hillis, the Broncos new stud WR has been the main back for the 2nd half. No sign of Torain.

ditkas89 0 Posted November 7, 2008 I own selvin young in one league. I might get paid if Torain is out for the season. Dude, I hope thats a joke. That is why some people HATE FF players. Do u really think that someones career is at all worth the measly bucks we win at this?? Separate real life from fantasy.
Manimal 0 Posted November 7, 2008 Am I the only one on the planet who DIDN'T start this guy yesterday because he wanted to see the guy do something first? Seriously, at what point in the Broncos last 5 games did any of you think it would be a good idea to start one of their RBs in this game? No rushing TDs in 5 games? Good Lord. Consider yourselves lucky for those 12 fantasy points because they're the only ones you're going to get out of Ryan "Plastic Man" Torain this season and honestly, as injury proned as this guy seems, you have to question his future in the NFL. Darko M 0 Posted November 7, 2008 Why is everyone spinning a knee injury to claim that starting any Denver RB is a terrible idea? The guys started and had 70 yards + a TD in the first half. If he didn't get hurt he would have easily had 100+ on the ground and at least a TD... aka a GREAT day. If Shanny benched the guy after going 6 for 15 yards, then okay... "starting Denver running backs is stupid" but the guy was on his way to a great game before getting hurt. To be honest, I'd assume the guys talking the most crap are people that missed out on Torain and are there for glad he can't tear it up for the next 5 weeks. Get a life. Just because you missed out on a guy doesn't mean you have to root against him, and even worse feel good about him getting injured.

I've only been here a month and have almost twice as many posts as he does, so I feel I've earned the right. It's not about Torain's knee injury, it's about Shanahan's lack of commitment to both the run and/or a running back. He's the sole reason the entire NFL is a focking mess with RBBC (Running Back By Committee.) He's the one who started this crap. The days of a RB getting 30 carries a game are gone, and that sucks for FF.

It will be a pleasure having you in the boards. Now don't go fock it up!

Torain was running strong so he got the rock. That's usually how it goes. You don't think Shanny wants a back who is capable of running effectively 25-30 times a game? Do a little research and see how many backs have carried the ball 30 times in one game this season. It's easy to say he was on his way to 30 carries now, but I've never seen a coach panic and abandon the run faster than The Rat. He was going to come out throwing in the 2nd half with or without Torain. No way would he have had 30. Cuse - I'll do my best to represent. Thanks for the recognition!
