TennisMenace 156 Posted November 15, 2008 You guys are acting like Hillis is a running back God. He's been healthy all year and hasn't done squat but loss reps to the bum RBs in front of him. Put down the Kool-aid. At least Torain had an injury to blame on not getting carries... Hillis has a lack of talent to blame. Have you seen him? First off, he is quite fast for a big white kid. 4.54 I think is what I saw. Secondly, he is very strong. In that Browns game, he made a first down on a crucial 4th down when he was hit 2 yards behind the line and bulled forward for 3 yards on sheer power. You watch Dude.... TennisMenace 156 Posted November 15, 2008 He madd, great thread my man. I'm not starting Peyton because I like the two I have - Lynch v. Cleve and DWilliams v. Lions - but I would if I was weak there this week.
lunarclone 0 Posted November 16, 2008 Get Real..... He did well, but is by no means an every down RB. I like the kid as a FB....and enjoyed his efforts at Arkansas blocking for McFadden and Felix.....and he even had a good combine workout. But just because you grab a guy late in the season off the "wire".....don't try to convince others you are a genious and found the next Terrell Davis. I wish you luck.....you will need it!!!! Tatum will get more carries then Paris' kid brother.

By the way, Bell had one rush up until the 4th quarter; He spelled Hillis in that quarter and got 3 of his total 7 carries when Denver was running out the clock. Cutler could just as easily have knelt down. But he played a bit more than I thought - probably to get him some real contact work, and for Shanny to gage where he really is physically. If he'd had fumbled on the last posession, I'm sure it would have been back to stealing socks and underware, and selling cell phones at the mall.

Lionsjunkie 1 Posted November 17, 2008 I think Tatum Bell is a better start over Hillis. I also think as far as sleepers go Ahman Green is a good start this week.

When Tatum gets in shape Hillis will move back to the FB.
